This was recorded in the Summer of 2010 at Soundmill Studios in Leeds, and was our first daliance with writing songs without guitars.   We still wanted to keep it live and raw and keep a proper groove to it, but also to start experimenting with new sounds.   The first performance came when we supported Dance to the Radio favourites The Broadcast Society.

Bring It Back

This was recorded at the same session as Bring it Right Back in the Summer of 2010 at Soundmill Studio in Leeds.   This is a continuation of our interest in writing big sounds without guitars and ended up a little like Goth goes Ibiza.   Still a cracking big song with some trademark strings layering up at the end. 

Rain Came Down

An older track for you here with the trademark loops and groove but also featuring some guitars .   Recorded at our beloved Soundmill Studio around November 2009.   Still sounds great when its belting out at a gig or when your driving along.

Rise Again

A golden oldy, still sounds pretty epic, not that we're biased.

I Stand Alone

Section ii formed in the summer of 2012 over a mutual love of performers such as David Bowie, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Interpol and Flaming Lips. After months writing at Old Chappel Studios the band soon compiled a set of songs and have hit the road playing at venues such as Manchester Academy, The Cockpit in Leeds and Proud in Camden. After receiving positive responses the band took the recording studio and have completed an e.p called ‘I Stand Alone’ which was released on the 30th March. The band have opted to move away from the standard guitar group set up and instead have developed a sound using baritone vocals, loops, orchestral synths, distorted melodic basslines and pounding dance grooves. Local radio plays have already been acquired and the music has been described as 'Dance music for rock kids.' Another song, ‘The Long Walk Home’ is set to feature in an independent movie this year titled ‘Remnants of a Disaster,’ scheduled for release in both the UK and USA.   Section ii have big plans for 2013 including completing a debut album and are actively seeking gigs.
