Our salute to Rakeem Miles for putting in the work he has to get to this point. Our man’s a Baltimore native who grew up inspired by some of the best—MF Doom, Madlib, Dilla… After his mother’s struggle with addiction left him in foster care, Rakeem was adopted by his grandparents, and in his teenage years, his uncle introduced him to the likes of Kanye West, Pharrell, and The Clipse. He's been grinding since then. We’re so glad to have him with us now.

"Passage22 is the introduction of the forthcoming project by YoAstrum "From Lost Dreams" set to release summer 2016. The song depicts the year of 2015 for the Jersey native who at the time was drifting through a dark period filled with a desire for balance. Produced by Dreamchild of Film Noir and shot by Philadelphia's Jeremy Belack."

YoAstrum is an American alternative hip-hop artist hailing from the south side of New Jersey who blends rap, soul, electronic, and experimental. The self-producing rapper-singer songwriter first got his start in 2012 while living in Harlem, New York. He finds inspiration from everything from Adultswim music bumps and anime, to NERD, Kid Cudi, and Nas. YoA is also a member of the indie hip-hop collective "Organic Geniuses (OG Tribe)" alongside Mike Melinoe, Sayda Beats, Rakeem Miles, OG BLVCK, Airospace, and Chuck Daily. Astrum, steadily straying away from conventional sound, continues to push the envelope musically.
