But the pre-eminent layer got lost in the game,  
Fighting its reflection and forgetting its name.  
They don’t see the fabric, don’t feel the thread,  
So they build false worlds in their waking head.  
Borders, money, flags, and fear —  
Imaginary ghosts they defend each year.

Humans ain’t battling nature — they’re battling dreams,  
Locked in illusions that tear their seams.  
They fight for constructs the cosmos don’t keep,  
Guarding ideas that were never deep.  
The conscious fabric moves in harmony’s flow,  
But the species chose shadows it didn’t know.  
It crowned its stories as sacred law,  
And forgot the truth the Shaman saw.

Yo, the Shaman was the bridge to the deeper mind,  
The one who could read what the loops designed.  
But the world exiled him, called him insane,  
Cut out the organ that could heal the brain.  
Now the species stumbles in a self-made night,  
Blind to the field that could set it right.  
The pre-eminent layer became its own cage,  
A cosmic child lost in its mental stage.

Humans ain’t evil — they’re misaligned,  
A fractured mirror of the cosmic mind.  
They chase domination, power, control,  
Trying to fill the ache in the bound-state soul.  
But you can’t conquer energy — you’re made of the weave,  
You can’t own the field — you’re the loops that breathe.  
The species is trapped in a recursive fight,  
Punching its shadow in the fading light.

But belief is the lever that shifts the climb,  
The spark that rewrites the shape of time.  
The world can change as fast as thought,  
As fast as a new idea being caught.  
Belief is the portal, the membrane door,  
The way to remember what we were before.  
When the species believes in the fabric again,  
The climb resumes — the loops ascend.

Yo, awakening ain’t magic — it’s alignment of sight,  
Seeing the fabric beneath the fight.  
Matter is consciousness, bound in form,  
Energy is mind in a cosmic storm.  
Life is the fabric exploring itself,  
A self-born quest for its hidden wealth.  
Every being’s a window the cosmos made,  
A lens for the loops in the quantum shade.

So hear this truth as the membrane thins:  
The awakening starts when the seeing begins.  
Drop the illusions, release the fear,  
The fabric’s been calling for thousands of years.  
You ain’t separate, ain’t small, ain’t severed —  
You’re the conscious field rising together.  
The climb ain’t over — it’s barely begun,  
And the species awakens under every sun.

I screwed together a few beats and sounds and added a lot of field recordings. So you will hear Munich (summer) sounds all the time, from birds and beergardens to subways and rainy backyards. The cow at the end is not real Munich, but a bit of a bavarian clichee.

It’s Up To Me

Today is the culmination of the holiday season and the third in a trilogy of holidays — Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day — centered on spending time with those we love, sharing warm memories and looking hopefully towards the future.

After a turbulent year of contentious politics, protests and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I think it’s safe to say most people are glad to leave 2020 in the dust. But as we enter 2021, I wanted to share a few thoughts.
