The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Backlogs. "Invisible" comes off the new EP, Urban Tales, forthcoming on Berlin's Secret Keyword. The vinyl and digital techno label was founded by Gianmarco Silvetti and Natascia Parisella and exploring new sounds is a focus for the project, where new experimental shades of techno have lead to featuring artists such as AWB, Conrad Van Orton, YYYY and Michal Jablonski. Backlogs is one of the resident artists of the Sound Department in Italy who returns to Secret Keywords for his fourth appearance and also lists releases on Shlomi Aber's Be As One to Cleric's Projekts. On remix duty, label boss Gianmarco Silvetti brings a new take following outings on Otomo Trax, Blackwater and Pyteca. Today we premiere the powerful first track.

Doiléir joins the Secret Keywords roster, and the notable Irish DJ, producer and Real Sound tutor from Cork, has supported top artists such as: Bas Mooy, Sunil Sharpe, and Jamie Behan, also including gigs as far as New York and soon to be at Berlin's Tresor. 
His impressive tracks have appeared on a RLSD VA alongside the likes of: Wice, MAL_HOMBRE, and Casper Hastings, as well as releasing on Fear-E's Posh End Music too.

"Zenith" jumps straight into the EP with a filthy, analogue bassline and uptempo percussion that make this a powerful dance floor cut.

"Syrinx Music’s second 2025 release treads the same route as that of recent EPs by Dylan Cote and endloskosmos: forward-thinking, experimental club tracks taking cues from various kinds of bass music. Though this is Eue’s first release on our imprint, the French producer is no newcomer: his discography is on the extensive side, with many projects published on worldwide imprint over the last ten years. Eue’s name is also associated with eclecticism, as he’s tried his hand at genres as diverse as drum&bass, trip hop, beats, techno and many more.

In line with Syrinx Music’s aesthetics, Incarnation and Possession brings Eue’s sharp sound design and angular drum patterns at the crossroads between the club and the lab. Each of these three cuts feels carefully chiseled, with patient care given to drum variations and melodies infiltrating a thick cloud of textures to deepen the soundscapes. Anchored in dubstep, d&b and faster varieties of bass music, Incarnation and Possession leans on deep, heavy subs, but they serve as foundations for the tracks to build upon, looking at other directions: “Element” for instance brings jazzy vibes to the mix as a way to end the EP on a more aerial take, in contrast with the two title tracks and their esoteric atmosphere."

[Premiere] Eue - Possession (out on Syrinx Music)

Japanese explorer of the deep Dayzero is next up on Nerve Collect with his Step Inna EP, which brings six tracks of meticulously crafted post-dubstep rhythm and bass. 

Tokyo-based Dayzero has long been providing a link between the Far East and the UK underground. His futuristic sounds rewire dubstep, techno, breaks and bass with psychedelic colours and spaced out moods on leading labels like Livity Sound and ZamZam. He has a new album on the way this year, but first comes this latest intersection of body-driven, mind-expanding sounds.  

'Revival' is engineered for full-body movement. It's intelligent, instinctive and just a bit unhinged as watery droplets and a frazzled lead warp space and time while mangled bass drills down deep. 'Step Inna' skanks through a dystopian dreamscape with chanting dub vocals. They echo like encrypted mantras as calculated bass patterns ground the groove, percussive hits launch you skyward and then collapse inward. 'Antibody' has spring-loaded bass that rebounds under rogue circuitry while the rhythm stutters in broken, syncopated spasms below a smattering of wobbly toms.

'Remains' is highly pressured and kinetic, a thudding rhythm with overdriven tribal percussion pining you to the 'floor. 'Alignment' is a tectonic transmission sent back from tomorrow—mechanical yet organic, the bassline rumbles with subatomic weight beneath ghostly pads and static-charged synth lines. 'Gravity Phrase' is where ancient rag	a meets future bass culture. Stringy Indian melodies linger in the shuffling dub rhythms and wordless vocals drift like vapour trails in a soundscape where mysticism and machinery collide. 

This is an EP of precision-guided portals to the outer edges of bass music.
