Paris is burning! And Eliott Litrowski lit the match with his latest EP for OOSSHA. The producer from France once saw the light in the famous Rex club in Paris but has a profound love for Dutch underground dance music. He previously released singles on Moustache and Bordello a Parigi and now debuts on Utrecht based SoHaSo sublabel OOSSHA.

On his Long Story Short EP, Litrowski combines the boldness of Dutch west coast electro with the flair and finesse of French techno, while throwing in a hint of sweet flavoured Italo vibes. A good example is Blind Pilot, which is both frivolous and funky.

Or jump the needle to Cereal Funk, where the dry hi-hats and wild arpeggio’s give more than a nod to Dopplereffekt, while staying in fourth gear. No wonder the track gets a remix treatment by Ed DMX, who turns Cereal Funk into a proper electro monster without losing the core futuristic elements. Long story short, Litrowski’s music is both playful, quirky and tailor made for clubs.

Bergsonist‘s Truancy Volume includes the likes of Rashad Becker, Drexciya, Riccardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer but most excitingly features five tracks by herself, including masters to aforementioned EPs and a live manipulation of P.M. Dawn’s “Set Adrift On Memory Bliss”. The mix also features a track she holds dearly that was made with her partner Greg Zifcak – the closing track is an effortless jam between the pair, created on the SH101 and TR-909. Describing the mix, Selwa says: “The idea behind this mix is to let go of things in life and go with the flow while being honest. Every time I DJ, I try to tell my story: it’s always different, but I always try to be true to my vision and aesthetic. I never DJ music to please an audience or please someone, I always play music I love 100% that I listen to a lot. Music that makes me cry and that inspires me to make my own; I never plan so much in advance. I don’t like to DJ just to DJ, but I like to DJ when I have something to say.”

It is alongside the music blog IDM News, she decided to bring together some of her favorite picks from 2019 in electronic music and provides us a 2 hour podcast. The mix have been done by Mike Griffin & Steve Brown, in a B to B recordset, with her vocal added as a radio-show. 
The show artfully blends an eclectic mix of 32 artists, on a total of 126 videos selected in a playslist and promoted in the IDM News community this last amazing 2019.
