We begin our SMLCR MIXES series with Spacer, a defining force in Barcelona’s underground scene. 

Spacer's artistic journey started in dance, a discipline she fully pursued before shifting her creative focus toward sound. Drawn to synthetic textures and rejecting tags and music labels, she has developed a unique sonic identity that defies classification. Trying to define her style is futile—her sets are immersive journeys, blending introspection and euphoria, the personal and the communal, darkness and bliss. Her ability to craft these sonic experiences goes beyond technical skill; she forges a rare and powerful connection with her audience, making each set a deeply engaging and transformative experience. This same curiosity and drive led her to create En Órbita, a program that goes beyond music, uncovering the stories of DJs, producers, and key figures in Barcelona’s electronic culture through live conversations.

Through this set, Spacer takes us on a sonic journey through futuristic electronic textures, hypnotic breaks, and immersive soundscapes. Blending synthetic melancholy with raw energy, she crafts a groove-driven, elegant narrative that moves between the ethereal and the intense, aiming to transport listeners into a deep, introspective state while keeping them in constant motion.

Inauguramos nuestra serie SMLCR MIXES con Spacer, una figura clave en la escena underground de Barcelona y vieja conocida del colectivo. Su recorrido artístico comenzó en la danza, una disciplina en la que se formó antes de volcarse completamente en el sonido. Atraída por las texturas sintéticas y reacia a las etiquetas y sellos musicales, ha construido una identidad única imposible de encasillar. Sus sesiones son viajes inmersivos que oscilan entre la introspección y la euforia, lo personal y lo colectivo, la oscuridad y el éxtasis, creando una conexión con el público que pocos DJs logran alcanzar. Su curiosidad y pasión la llevaron a crear En Órbita, un programa que va más allá de la música, explorando las historias de DJs, productores y figuras clave de la cultura electrónica en Barcelona a través de conversaciones en directo.

A través de este set, Spacer nos sumerge en un viaje sonoro de texturas electrónicas futuristas, breaks hipnóticos y paisajes inmersivos. Combinando melancolía sintética con una energía cruda, construye una narrativa elegante y llena de groove que transita entre lo etéreo y lo intenso, con el propósito de transportar al oyente a un estado introspectivo sin dejar de hacerlo moverse.
