soundcloud.com/golfclapdet is Detroit's latest deep house export and is already making quite a stir in the few months they've been releasing music. After playing over 100 shows together last year, Bryan Jones & Hugh Cleal started releasing music as Golf Clap in early 2013. House legends like Kerri Chandler, Grant Nelson, and Miguel Migs have all taken notice, signing singles and EPs for release this summer. 

Their debut single "Another Way" on Freeze Dried smashed the Traxsource charts hitting #1 in the singles, tracks & deep house charts simultaneously and their follow up single "On To You" on i Records climbed into the top 10 on the site for two weeks. 

Booked solid every weekend for the next 5 months in the US and Europe, you should catch them while you can at their own night & residency at Grasshopper Underground in Detroit where they play alongside acts like Ian Pooley, Eats Everything, Kevin Saunderson, Jimpster, Detroit Swindle, Mark Farina, John Acquaviva & Steve Lawler to name a few.

To Rack & Ruin comes thundering your way slap bang in time for Summer courtesy of our Italian disco brother in arms DJ Rocca and his compardre N2B.The usual high standard of sounds are as present as ever on the 6th instalment of our edits and reworks imprint.
"Get Up" hits you with a rolling bassline that brims with plenty of pant flapping groove & wah wah guitar licks before that ever so familiar vocal kicks in for a full on Reggae Disco workout. "Weird Safari" certainly lives up to its name - a stripped back, dark & almost Techno sound, alongside tinkering percussion and spaced out wild animal noises surely make for a weird safari. "Dubby Pino" has you from the off, all the foot stamping & money shaking elements are present - hooky guitar, fat bass loop, infectious percussion, soulful vocal licks and a gorgeous little piano break.
"Mr Rossi's Backpain" starts off by getting the award for the best song title we've ever had on Rack & Ruin, but as well as that it's in the proper groovy dance floor tackle category with a bassline & guitar that commands your respect and then when the 4/4 kicks in at 1 min, well just have a listen.

MOTHER RECORDINGS continues its exceptional run of recent form with two perfect house tunes that will fill your heart with joy. They come from SUPERLOVER, the Berlin based DJ and producer who also works with Suara and Exploited and has an advance grasp of what it takes to make house with feeling. Fusing elements of house and disco into genuinely energetic jams, he has been building an ever bigger following since emerging in 2011. 
The excellent TIMELESS is up first and is just that - a classically informed yet fresh sounding tune that has plenty to say. It is a playful, rolling deep house tune with sunny melodies just in time for the warmer months. Funky bass riffs and freewheeling synths all add to the party vibes and fun feel, and make it a sure fire winner. 
On the flip, DANCIN is another effortlessly cool and party starting house anthem.
