When John Tejada releases new music, it's always a good moment for pricking up your ears. Like hardly anyone else, Tejada is always able to reinvent himself without losing the high recognition value. His brand new 3-tracker "Wild Ride" shows him without a doubt in spring mood. Opener "Vereor" is a good-humored, razor-sharp tech-funker in classic Tejada style. "Wild Ride" and "Infinism" harken back to the sound of the formative Kompakt years, when artists like Dettinger, Jonas Bering and SCSI-9 defined a new minimal sound that was as elegant as it was emotional, and which feels surprisingly contemporary again in Kompakt's thirtieth year.

He, who has launched the label with its very first release “Triumph“, Jürgen Paape has left a legacy of music that is a true core of the sound which Kompakt’s foundation is built on.

We celebrate Jürgen Paape with “Kompilation”. A well deserved opportunity to hear Jürgen Paape for fans and newcomers – revived and remastered and for the very first time on double vinyl – in a way that it plays through like a full length album. Some of the biggest moments of Kompakt over a three decade history are here; the chorus of “So Weit Wie Noch Nie” remains timeless – there to send shivers of pleasure down your spine as we feel at the end of exhaustive end of a night. “Take That” is an anthem for the still to be built rock stadiums of tomorrow. It’s a bonafide hit that put him in the charts in Australia and Italy. – “Come Into My Life” remains undeniably one of Kompakt’s catchiest pop tracks ever. “So Wird Die Zeit Gemacht” – builds on Paape’s signature sound with the spirit and vitality of classic house and a truly demented vocal hook. Then there’s the unique Schaffel quirkiness of “Ofterschwang” and so many other hits Jürgen Paape has delivered over the years. Well, it’s Paape!

It's been 10 years since their last release on 20/20 Vision, but it is with great excitement that we welcome Spirit Catcher back to the label with their aptly named Blast From The Past EP! 

As one of the corner stones of 20/20, their early singles and album are legendary label artefacts and these guys were total pioneers of the cosmic, disco infused house sound which then became prominent in following years. 

Blast From The Past has been getting heavy rotation in Ralph Lawson's sets over the summer and so we're really glad to finally see it reach the light of day. This one is a trip into hyperspace with cosmic synth pulses leading the way before a killer bass line takes you track straight to planet Spirit Catcher! 

On the flip Closer takes the trip further with more expert bass hooks being joined by vox pads and otherwordly fx. The EP is finished off with Routing Madness, a homeage to the duos love for analogue studio gear which you can hear in the intricate synth patterns which pop and weave through the tracks duration.

Moscow based brothers Sasha and Sergey alias Simple Symmetry have been responsible for some of 2017's musical special treats. The basement inspired duo took on responsibility to remix Adam Port's 'I Never Wear Black' and even get deeper with releases on Disco Halal, Multi Culti, Correspondant and now Dischi Autunno. Latter is run by French DJane Jennifer Cardini and Noura Labbani and just had its EP, The Tuning of the Road by The Magic Ray, released. Simple Symmetry reworked the original, an Indie-Rock influenced song, and added their slightly discoish inspired vibe making the track both: more suitable for the dance floors and paying tribute to a multilayered approach in sounds.

Musically and emotionally, Superpitcher’s third full-length studio album, The Golden Ravedays is a one sound autobiography that exhibits the skill, feeling and style that the artist has honed over a period of twenty years, musically, and forty-plus- years, emotionally. And full-length it is: The Golden Ravedays is an epic album of 24 longer than usual tracks that was released in January 2017 and is stretching over 12 respective chapter albums during a one-year period.

The 12th and final edition of The Golden Ravedays album will be released on record label Hippie Dance in December 2017.

Side A is the ballad of Late Night Skanking. True to the soul of skanking this track is weaving its delicate elements between the rise and fall of a monumental wave that teasingly never breaks. The main melody so seduces and hypnotizes that before you know it you’re a wide-eyed cobra waving away in a basket.

Standing ovation! Hands in the air! He made it! The very last track of Superpitcher’s epic Golden Ravedays odyssey is a jovial spree, a hullabaloo of merrymaking, the perfect celebration of the beginning to end of this heroic album. Punky Reggae Party is a fantastic collision of festive sounds, beats and voices that bring us undecipherable messages and everything else that is far beyond nice, nice, nice. Encore! Encore!
