An unofficial soundtrack album inspired by the Vlad Taltos book series by Steven Brust and a celebration of one of my favourite characters: Morrolan e'Drien, Duke of Southmoor and Lord of Castle Black.
Steven Brust is one of the greatest living fantasy writers and everyone should read the Vlad Talstos series and the Khaavren Romances.

Not your typical Dungeon Synth but still close to to it in feel and spirit.
I tried to capture the joy, sometimes melancholy and on occasion very serious nature of the books.
In some ways what i ended up with sounds like if the Vlad Taltos series was a 90's video game and this was the soundtrack.

Made on a Yamaha pss9 and a Yamaha DX21.

This album serves as the intersection between my older electro work and my newer more dungeon synth / dark ambient work. Taking inspiration from the 90's sega games i grew up with as well as pen and paper role playing games.
I've tried to invoke the feeling of adventure i had when booting up a new game of Altered Beast, Starflight or Golden Axe, sitting alone in my room with nothing to do but lose myself in these 16 bit worlds.

All songs were made on a Yamaha PSS-380 with exception of the drums which were played on a Yamaha PSS-9.
