Zebra 3 String Section 2

Our clearing in the forest awakens,
as the sun makes its way through the leaves,
and flows golden across the still earth.

The air hums softly with confidence,
as if the whole forest would soon whisper,
that this day will begin brighter than ever before.

Above us, the first birds awaken,
their gentle calls float like bright threads
through the warming morning light.
Nearby, a small brook begins to babble,
its clear water catching the rays,
so that it too flows joyfully into the new day.

Look—the light seems to take shape,
pause for a moment,
just to bestow its radiance upon us.

It dispels our shadows,
and gives us the promise
that this day will welcome us joyfully.
