Check for correct left and right connections and phase but more interesting is the dummy head (also known as artificial head or Kunstkopf) recording, allowing the listener wearing headphones to perceive the front and rear directionality of the sound.

Test: Addictive Keys (Grand Piano)

Production Grand performed by Joris Holtackers using 87 and Ribbon microphones plus recording noise and additional processing (such as eq, reverb, compression). Here the recording noise is quite pronounced and the mechanical sounds of the piano are heard.
