A has-been in a hazmat suit, spazzing at the end of the master's boot
Rooting around for the bitter fruit he found deeply buried in the ground
Could have been married with a crown, but now he carries in his mind the berries he’ll never find again
Tarries and he is bound again, tied up in his chronic pain, littered with demonic gain
power for purity, a trade with utter surety, towered above the serfs he’d see
But always time will vanquish he who dances with the devil till the playing field is level
And the straying feel the gavel of the cavalry of law, ravens devour with a caw, 
Those who fell into the claw, till their skin is stripped and raw, 
Lady justice laid her paws on your memories of God, till you ascribe that total power 
to he who’s towering in the shadows over the cowering and powerless
Scared and lost, but nonetheless, at least you stand while they’re below
Though you could never stand to be alone
The radiation dulls whatever meaning was in his soul
meaning there’s a hole, keeping him from feeling whole
but the pull from down below suggests a chance at being full
though it cancels out his soul completely, whatever’s left he shall not keep
death prematurely comes for reaping, scythe raised high while behind him creeping
though none of that you heed when you see a distant tree, approach it like a starving bee
hoping for some nectar please, heedless of potential thorns, you plunge right in 
none will mourn
