A piece inspired by Blattarieva's pretty kitty, Justine, whom she drew playing a hurdy-gurdy and sent me into a spiral (link below). Picture is my own rendition.

One of my favorite parts of Renaissance music is the busy textures, which is what I was aiming for with the interlocking percussion. Easily the most challenging part of making this was the hurdy-gurdy, which I cobbled together out of many layers of string patches and effects. It's such a beautiful instrument, and I hope I did it justice with this mock-up. I don't have any clue if this is actually a branle, but the title sounds nice so I'm keeping it.
