Quickly becoming one of Amsterdam’s most recognizable DJ’s, it was about time we got Olivier Weiter on board to do a SEKOIA Podcast. One of the few Dutch artists in our scene who’s able to sell out pop temple Paradiso pretty much on his own, with a new edition of his ‘WEITER’ coming up November 23rd. This podcast is pretty much right on time as an intro for this unique night. Darker and deeper seems to be his new credo, sounds right up our street doesn’t it?

Right at the start of the week of mayhem called ADE, Olivier's set is perfect to fill those hours between parties, to wake you from your sleep or to close a brilliant night. Quite the spot to fill in the line of podcasts we had, taking up the slot after Petar Dundov, but Weiter has lived up to his name: one hour of pure, deep sounds that are easy on the ear. No complicated structure but still elegance from the highest level. - FJ.

Coming to Burning Man for the second time in 2017, I was primarily a saxophone player, not a DJ, not a proceder... 
I used to go art car hopping, bringing my sax along and jamming with whoever was willing. I had especially fun times jamming with DJs. 
On the last morning of that Burn, Monday morning it was, I bumped into two talented DJs playing incredible tracks on one of the best sounding art cars I've ever heard... 
Naturally, I took out the sax, and started jamming on the sandy dance floor in front of them. Soon enough some people gathered around, and I was pulled up to that old looking artistic mutant vehicle and, with the DJs consent I jammed on top as well... 
The morning went on and it started getting hot, it looked like the end was near, and I was somehow back on the playa "dance floor" when a couple people called me up saying "The DJ is looking for you..." I quickly came up and asked "whats up?" He said: I'm gonna play the last track now, and then you play the outro. Excited to share the last moment of that morning, I obviously jumped in, and was honored to play the last notes of that magical morning... 
After that I got to chat with the DJs for a bit, they said their names were Martin & Nico (aka Acid Pauli & Nico Stojan and this was my first introduction to the magical bus called Robot Heart. 
Fast forward 4 years later, we have gone full circle and I finally got the honor to tell my own story on, what is in my opinion, the best stage in the world to play music...
I hope you will enjoy this ride, at least as much as I did...

Pinerolo is a restaurant in Oslo. I was commissioned by the owners to compile and mix three mixtapes. Their directives were rather vague, lending me an opportunity to pick from any genre, not care too much about how commercial the tracks were and just create an eclectic but cohesive compilation that would contribute to the relaxed vibe at Pinerolo. This is what I did.

Sunrise set recorded live at the Dakar Music Festival on November 11, 2017. Spending 10 days in this African wonder was a truly incredible experience. From playing underneath the African Renaissance Monument, visiting the small island of Goree, gazing upon the wildlife at the Bandia reserve, and befriending so many wonderful locals, Senegal will remain close to my heart throughout this lifetime. Thank you Africa.

Goldcap - Sunrise Set Live @ Dakar Music Festival 2017 (Senegal, West Africa)

We're very happy to share with you a snippet of tunes from our 5-hour set on the beach at Maxa Camp!  It was just wonderful to spend the day on our favorite beach playing music to such a fantastic crowd.  We journeyed gradually from old funk, reggae, and Brazilian songs to the deeper dancey vibe you'll hear in this mix.  The day ended dramatically, with a surprise rainstorm, mini party in the DJ booth, and a giant rainbow to top it all off!  Huge thanks to the folks at Maxa for welcoming us <3
