Another personal favorite is joining the ranks of contributors to the SEKOIA Podcast series. With every album more impressive than the last one, John Tejada’s prolific career has spanned over two decades and is ever on the rise. ‘On the rise’ can be interpreted in multiple ways, but for Tejada success is not measured in touring the most or playing the most gigs. The fact that he’s able to make a living out of making music does it all for him. 

‘Farther and Fainter’, ‘The Living Night’, ‘Unstable Condition’ and of course ‘The End of it All’. And there are still so many classic, memorable tracks made by John Tejada. It’s an honour to have this hour of music coming from his decks. Enjoy.

Im wunderschönen Jahr 1998 - als sowohl Männer wie Frauen noch Buffaloschuhe in Kombination mit bauchfreien Oberteilen trugen, man länger auf dem Parkplatz feierte als im Club und Undergroundmusik noch über das Medium Kassette verteilt wurde, entstand dieses goldene Stück Housetape, welches wir jetzt noch einmal mit euch feiern und genießen wollen. Nur wenige Monde vor der Aufnahme dieses Tapes feierte ich zum ersten Mal in einem richtigen Club - nämlich der Muna in Thüringen - zu einem DJ, dessen Musik mich über Jahre begleiten und aufjauchzen lassen sollte: DJ Hoerste aka White Horse. Zufällig fand ich nun in einer Kassettenbox dieses alte Tape von ihm, welches ich jahrelang rauf und runter gespielt hatte - wie man jetzt immer noch hören kann - und hatte sofort den Drang es mit der Welt zu teilen. In diesen wunderschönen Zeiten, in denen House wieder aufersteht, zieht diese Aufnahme einen Kreis, in dem für mich alles begann, nun wieder weiterlebt und sich trotzdem neu erfindet. Ein Stück Housegeschichte verewigen wir nun noch einmal mit diesem unseren Old New Records Podcast 024. Wer play drückt darf auch seine Buffalos anziehen. Wir lachen auch nicht - versprochen. ;)
