For the 15th edition of re:flect radar, we present a 47 track mix by layering wizard @jangoertz

Jan Goertz's creative work is largely driven by the desire to test and redefine his limits in competition with technology. This is one of the reasons why he is known for his 4-deck mixes containing a multitude of tracks. First two and then three players simply became too boring for him. The motivation to DJ, however, also comes from the calmness that is triggered in his otherwise very bustling head during the process. And of course the fun!
His goal in djing is the creation of an "endless groove". By breaking up track structures, Jan wants to form a mix as a "unity from its individual parts, instead of just stringing songs together". He prefers to play with four players. "Vinyl is cool but more for house and smoother techno :D".
Primarily, Jan draws inspiration from the club context - both as a guest and as an artist. For him, techno is first and foremost "functional and works for and in a club. That's what this music is made for."
Key moments for the DJ, who has been active since 2013, were his 10.5-hour set at Geheimclub Magdeburg and the sprawling back to backs with Rod_a and Morgenstern. 
His role models are DVS1, Ben Klock and ROD.
A young and up-and-coming artist that he thinks we should definitely keep an eye on is @morgenstern_sb

V:SONNTAG is a Leipzig based DJ. Her signature sound is fast, crazy and powerful. Throughout her mixes, she focuses on constant groove and driving rhythms to maintain full energy on the dance-floor. Her ultimate goal is to express her own liveliness in the music she plays.

Marsch is a Berlin-based dj and producer from France. She began her musical journey throughout her childhood, before discovering electronic music when she moved to the UK freshly turned 18. She rapidly grew a fascination for the art of digging music and mixing tracks together, also focusing for a few years on music curation, and music journalism. Music production was always in the back of her head and she dedicated most of the last 6 years learning and developing her signature sound. While releasing for a few years now on labels such as SYXT and Room Trax, she never lost sight of digging as a form of inspiration, and is making her ways back behind the decks.

For the third Sektor podcast we’ve invited both DJ and producer Jan Goertz from the beautiful Magdeburg. 

With over ten years of experience he has developed a recognizable and unique sound with a big spoonful of love for details, delightful melodic elements and deep diving hypnotic rhythms. 
His creative work is driven by the desire to test and redefine his limits in competition with technology. This is one of the reasons why he is known for his astonishing 4-deck mixing.
Rather than being told by the tracks, Jan implements elements like breakdowns and highlights all by himself by breaking up the original structures.
