"In This Moment" is a song about mindfulness, and finding room to live in the now. The past holds us. But holds little for us. And learning to both respect our experiences, and move forward, takes time and love. It's not easy. But there is a life after trauma.

In This Moment

I think I put more into this track than any other I've written. The chorus and parts which were sung are all quotes from my therapist about my experience with abuse- and her offering a safe place to discuss my past. 

The song is about the lasting feeling of guilt we are left with after trauma. And overcoming it. And how important it is to actually hear and know that we are not to blame. And we are not the guilty ones.
