Ektoplast's upcoming EP Entre-temps traces a quiet arc between past and present. A moment suspended in the in-between. Born from long sessions in winter rooms and riverside solitude, the tracks mirror each other like siblings, growing side by side, shaped by shared silence and shifting light.

A quiet search unfolds to become an endless chase. Just a steady surrender to sound, to repetition, to moments of clarity softened by waves of doubt. At times, a strange sense of déjà-vu lingers, a gentle murmur of something once felt, just out of reach. In the balance between motion and stillness, between echo and origin, something like refuge begins to take shape.

All sound started as my voice recorded in zoom r4. I created bass, rhythm and lead. I used zoom r4 amps, distortion, reverb and echo.

I moved 3 recorded tracks to Koala Sampler, created a few sequences, chopped my samples and created more sequences.

Un Singe en Hiver (A Monkey in Winter / Ein Affe im Winter) is a French film directed by Henri Verneuil (1962) and based on a novel by Antoine Blondin.

The title refers to the story of Chinese monkeys who get lost in big cities during winter. Some residents, convinced that they have souls, take them back to the jungle by train.

This is the only time Jean Gabin and Jean-Paul Belmondo appear together on screen.
