Selador Sessions 311 | Steve Parry

Ignacio Torne is a DJ and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with over a decade in electronic music. His passion began early, waking up to bolero records and later playing bass in a teenage garage band. A friend’s trance-heavy DJ sets introduced him to electronic music, eventually leading him to Progressive House.

Influenced by Cattaneo, Digweed, Warren, and Sasha, he’s developed a signature sound that continues to evolve. In that time he has played in top Buenos Aires venues like Crobar, Jet, Niceto, and The Bow, and his releases on labels like Motion Recordings, AH Digital, and Massive Harmony reflect his steady rise in the progressive scene.

On this Balance Selections mix, the Argentinean artist delivers a smooth, warm set rich with melodic flourishes. Featuring tracks by Kamilo Sanclemente, Mike Isai, Dmitry Molosh, and more, it is a deep progressive set that keeps on delivering.

By the early 2000s, when much of the electronic world was chasing trance highs and vocal hooks, Moshic Shlomi—known mononymously as Moshic—was charting a darker path. His take on progressive house was not just brooding; it was cinematic, steeped in tension, mood, and layered melancholy.

Releasing early work as Argonout, Moshic made his mark with tracks on Cyber Records and appearances on compilations from Global Underground to In Search of Sunrise, showcasing a sound both atmospheric and emotionally rich. Now leading his own label, Contrast, he continues to explore the space between light and shadow, with recent productions finding a home on imprints like Bedrock and Bonzai Progressive.

His Balance Selections mix delivers on the promise of the label’s name: a carefully curated journey of contrasts that never loses its introspective core. Featuring tracks from N-TCHBL, Stereo Underground, and Moshic himself, the mix isn’t afraid to drift into the melancholic edges of progressive house.

John ‘Quivver’ Graham is something of a legend in electronic music circles having spent the best part of 20 years dropping release after release of top quality productions and DJing every far flung corner of the globe to boot. 

His body of work speaks for itself having released on the likes of Bedrock, Strictly Rhythm, Yoshitoshi and his own Boz Boz imprint whilst also working on an array of blockbuster film scores and high profile game soundtracks, Batman & Call Of Duty amongst them.

His debut for us here at Selador is, as expected, a masterful offering that brings two new original productions to the table in the form of ‘Wait For You’ and ‘Everything Remains The Same’ accompanied by a couple of top drawer remixes from dynamic duo, D-Nox & Beckers and hot Berliner, Habischman. We just don’t know when to stop do we?!
