It's been more than a year and a half since 'Life About To Change' and the anticipation has been almost unbearable, but the long wait is over as Marco Resmann is finally back on Watergate with his brand new 'Run EP'.

Over the course of three tracks Marco displays his production prowess and once again solidifies himself as a creator at the peak of his career. The EP begins with the title track 'Run' and it's a perfectly executed techno anthem bridging an unrelenting drum line with crisp stabs and euphoric blasts of spaced out synths. 
'Run' will flawlessly fit into any mood or setting, whether it be a sun soaked open air or a strobe filled, sweaty warehouse.

Following the lead on the b-side is 'Hello Again' and it unveils itself to the sounds of singing birds before slowly morphing into a palette of synthetic electronics. As 'Hello Again' grows larger in  intensity the more wild it becomes. What almost seems at one point to be a clashing of wild sonic blares reluctantly falls back into a cascade of organic percussion before once again rising to a crescendo of critical mass.

Bringing the EP to an epic close is the magnificently executed 'Es Vedra' and it is by far the most emotional ride of the package. Lush pads and cosmic flutters are laid over an pulsing groove expertly combining two polar opposites resulting in an intoxicating journey through a lucid dream. Overall, 'Run' is a gem of dance floor integrity finely curated by a man who is a master of combining new, avant-garde sounds with a classic
procedure. It's good to have you back, Marco!

We set forth to the cold and desolate northern regions of Ontario to claim one of Canada's leading producers in electronic music. This may sound quite quixotic to some but Berlin based Sid Le Rock (AKA Pan/Tone) proves that nothing is impossible, with remixes for Depeche Mode, Fairmont, Placebo, Nicone & collaborations with Dj Koze, Ada, Ryan Davis and Beachcoma. The moment has arrived where he makes his debut on Dantze with an awesome diversified 3 tracker. Sounds quixotic? Yes it is!

A stand-out track from the off, this expertly-produced song from Ri Za and vocalist Amber Long is equally at home on the dancefloor as it is on the radio. Haunting piano chords root the mix in the here and now, supported by tuned bass and evolving synths, leaving Amber free to weave her memorable magic. First up in this release, Alola Records label boss Omid 16B refines the track in his customary style, followed by the superb original mix to balance the package.

The creator of some of the freshest sounds in techno music in recent years, Ramon Tapia, is once again pushing the envelope with his new double-header for John Digweed’s forward-thinking Bedrock label.

‘Hysteria’ exhibits mountainous energetic menace with its elongated rumbling sub-bass hum and whip-snap percussion build, before launching into mind-melting melodic flourishes and an intense groove finale. Adding to the excitement, ‘Intricate’ features a classic Ramon Tapia percussion-led gem of a groove that expands with filmic flourishes and twists a plenty, resulting in yet another beautifully crafted piece of music. 

Ramon Tapia’s skill as he blends the slower, sexier sounds of the contemporary techno vibe with his deep understanding of the genre from the past few decades is what sets him apart from many other producers. With tinges of his Latin background influencing percussive elements and his Dutch/Belgian heritage providing the basis for his hard-grooving template, his sound is one of the freshest of recent years.

'Havana' (BEDDIGI51), the Ramon Tapia & Stavroz collaboration from last summer (with that deadly trumpet hook), remains a firm favourite in many DJ sets today. It was recently revived with a superb remix by Guy J and featured on the new ‘Underground Sound Of Ibiza 2’ (BEDIBIZACD2) compilation. Both tracks are well worth checking.

And so it came to pass, the third instalment of our occasional Reloads series. 
(10 bonus points to all of you who realised the anagram) This ongoing project is where we ask friends of the label to cast their magic over our back catalogue. And what a bumper package Volume 3 has turned out to be. 

Nicolas Massayeff gets to grips with Jaap Ligthart & Alice Rose, Davi tackles Marc Marzenit, Darin Epsilon & CID Inc take on Robert Babicz, Conecte breathe new life into Dimitri Nakov & B-Vision and finally Chris Fortier gets busy on himself. So to speak ;-)

Guy J’s Lost & Found is riding high in 2016 with its flow of exceptional releases that now continue with an amazing new production talent coming out of the vibrant Argentinian scene. Kevin Di Serna makes his Lost & Found debut here with two gorgeous tracks. Fresh from releases on Alola, SexOnWax, Subtract, and (of course) fellow countryman and superstar DJ Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat label, Kevin’s releases have been on Guy J’s radar for quite some time, so it was only a matter of time before Lost & Found’s main man would choose to release some amazing music that fits perfectly with the label’s ethos.

Fellow rising Argentinian star, Ditian, has teamed up with his compatriot on ‘Crystal Forest’ to create a beautifully melodic track with shimmering flourishes and a lovely, deeply hypnotic groove, which is perfectly suited to those wonderful summer sunshine moments. This delightful track is complimented by the deeper reverence and more laidback sounds of ‘Dallah’, which is an enthralling solo effort by Kevin.

Kamilo Sanclemente is a Colombian producer with a rich musical heritage to his name. Now making his debut on Particles, Sanclemente provides rich entertainment with his original three-track, "Revelations".

From Cali, in the south west of the country, close to the Pacific coast, Sanclemente has built a strong and rapidly evolving reputation for himself. With close to a double century of Beatport production credits, the Colombian has thus found himself a regular on high-profile labels that include Einmusika, Baroque and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital, since a debut for Suite 7 Records and the five-track September 2013, "Angels". Indeed, it was through the "Galathea" and "Arisen" tracks in 2015 that Kamilo saw his stock rise even higher for the Epsilon led label, with another appearance on the "MMW and WMC 2017 Sampler" with "The White City" in March 2107.

Supported by such icons of the underground dance arena as Hernan Cattaneo, Tim Penner and Danny Lloyd, Kamilo Sanclemente continues to impress with original and remix production material in the progressive and tech house genres. Now making his debut on Particles, the "Revelations" EP presents a musical triptych of the highest order.

Opening, with the title track, the dark brooding sounds of "Revelations" build effortlessly through sumptuous pads and eerie lead line that flows in liquid beauty. Through its elegant and evolving characteristic, a strong rhythmic foundation is laid with clicking percussive cadence, before a haunting vocal phrase permeates the upper frequencies, lending a richly textured layer to Sanclemente's work.

"Desolation" continues the Colombian's exacting attention to detail as a strong percussive groove provides a beats-laden backdrop. Building with consummate-ease, themes mirrored in "Revelations" are immediately evident as free-flowing middle-eastern melodies ease into the mid-range. Hitting its stride in the third movement, the rhythmic urgency, counterpoint motifs and reprised themes, showcase Sanclemente's skill and technique.

Fuelled by a driving, running bass line that supplies urgency and dynamism, "Another Earth" builds with gathering pace as strong beat and offbeat snare/clap combine with hi-hat pattern to create a robust backdrop. A filtered arpeggio enters the fray with rising chord progressions and epic snare fills, creating a storming floor-filler that thrills the senses. Sanclemente's technical knowledge of the dance arena is in full evidence through carefully placed use of rise and drop in an impressive club track.

The "Revelations" over Kamilo Sanclemente's talent are in little doubt in his three-track musical vignette.

The first interpretation of ‘Epiphany In The Woods'’ is provided by Simply City who is making his label debut. Hailing from Chile but now based in Montreal, Cesar Romero aka Simply City has become a fixture in the city’s burgeoning nightlife, earning a spot as one of Stereo’s resident DJs. On the production front he lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings. 

Now making his first appearance on Or Two Strangers he delivers a superb take on 'Epiphany In The Woods'. Incredibly rhythmic with fresh design qualities and soft, creamy melodies, it moves elegantly across it's ten minute running time. Immediately captivating as an array of shifty atmospherics and tranquil melodies create a redolent air. Warm, dreamy overlays soon follow and you’re effortlessly taken away into a melodic wonderland. Subtle yet powerful, it’s blissful theme plays off smooth chord changes and subtle modulation for a string of magic moments, making for an exhilarating third act finale.'

'Cid Inc's Replug Records opens the 2019 summer season by welcoming Alex O'Rion to the label for his debut EP. As one of the Netherlands most highly regarded and sought after artists, the Nijkerk resident has found a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, where he has released three artist EPs since making his debut in January of 2018. Also a highly regarded DJ, Alex has programmed music for some of the world's most iconic clubs, namely Ministry Of Sound and Fabric. Now fresh off a Spring release for Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, the Dutch artist lands on Replug for his debut EP entitled 'Marathon'. 

Continuing what has been a remarkable year for Alex is the EP's opener and title selection 'Marathon'. Enticing from the start, it's perfectly sculpted beats are warm and powerful, anchoring what is a rippling, free flowing foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are blanketed with swirling atmospherics, ghostly vocal edits and fragmented melodies. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with hazy harmonic concepts and granular design uniting for an exhilarating apex, before ushering in a groovy drop and emotive finale. 

The journey continues with the driving vibes of 'Blaze'. Immediately captivating, it's billowing bass tones and finely tuned percussion play off a robust rhythmic core, making for a devilish, hip swinging groove. It's hypnotic appeal grows subtly, as vocal fragments and luminous tones add an emotive slant to what is an already mystical storyboard. Almost like a sonic comet, it's fiery energy melts down into a break of muted beats and astral designs, before a collage of tripped out harmonics sets the stage for an otherworldly conclusion.

The release is capped off in fine fashion with the introspective moods of 'L'Arbre Des Contes'. Expertly joining the past to the future, Alex marries sophisticated melodic motifs with meditative rhythms and tranquil textures. It's a unique and highly engaging storyboard, perhaps one of the Dutch artist's most heartfelt to date in fact, a creation to cherish for special occasions and no doubt a highly memorable selection for your dance floor. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an astute collection of music from Alex O'Rion, making for yet another extraordinary addition to Replug's impeccable discography. '
