Martin Herrs signature avant-garde percussive sound joins forces with the organic-electronic experimentations of emerging artist Thimble, resulting in an EP that’s ready for dancing, bringing mobilee back to the nachtclub as doors are opening for ravers worldwide.

Tribal, booming beats set the scene for this dark journey through modulating, layered sounds, broken beats, and warped vocals; the listener is transported to a post apocalyptic industrial dance floor, where sweet glimpses of “Humalogy” remain…

In “Betta Tester”, we find a rolling groove alongside undulating synths, sure to capture the limbs in movement, leaving the mind free to enjoy the many subtleties of this track - perfectly timed for transcendental club moments.

It’s Showcase time, six slabs of mighty fine dancefloor tuneage with which to ring out the old and ring in the new. The Phenomenal 15th is a Selador Fam Special, as we are delighted to be welcoming back half a dozen old friends to the label.

One of the most prolific Afro-influenced producers on the scene, Darksidevinyl is back for his third time on the label since Boohe first blew up off Showcase 11 in 2020. Internal Jungle sets a high benchmark for this Showcase, a brooding beauty with driving percussion and more hooks than a fisherman’s tackle shop.

Melbourne’s rising star Sam Hopgood makes a quick return after wowing us on 2021’s Showcase 14 with the infectious Waiting. The lush atmospherics of new cut Trust will only elevate Sam’s status even further, a breathy vocal sample weaving in and out of intense chiming synths.

Martin HERRS’ Afro Houser Impala shone brightly on last year’s Showcase 12, becoming one of our best sellers of 2021. Now firmly ensconced in the electronic elite, Visual Provocation sees Martin channel the vibe of early 80s electronic pioneers through a 2022 filter – deep & dark, just how we like it.

Oz electronica deity Jamie Stevens then makes an even quicker return to the label. Fresh from his chart topping collab wih Anthony Pappa, solo cut Fool Me Once is a gorgeous slice of machine soul, achieving the rare feat of being hypnotic, ethereal and funky all at the same time. Classy. 

The trio of Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic are a production team who have consistently proved themselves over recent times, as evidenced on 2020’s Selador outing, Dangerous. They now return with Lonely,  a no-nonsense heads down monster that throbs like a cartoon thumb, with a distinctive vocal hook likely to take up permanent residence in your head.

St Petersburg’s Blaktone also make an overdue reappearance at Selador HQ to round things off perfectly. Past releases Saw Mantra and Under My Skin remain much loved catalogue nuggets, and The New Message will undoubtedly join them, a masterclass in squelching nu-acid set to rock peak time floors.

Now that’s how to start the new year in style.

Turkish master does it again. Rolling on the sweet melodies from the original, Murat adds his well-known recipe for dancefloor bangers. His remix is progressive, dark and melodic and will leave no one standing still.

Martin HERRS, DJ and producer. Born in Spain in 1994. He creates a fusion of avant-garde and indigenous percussions that make sense to the dance floor. His interest in music started at a very young age, using different AKA's for moments in his life.. Martin HERRS has always been in continuous training and updating, absorbing new trends and always keeping his finger on the pulse of electronic music. In his musical journey he releases music on labels such as Mobilee, Monaberry, Bedrock Records, MoBlack Records, Selador Recordings and many others. Martin HERRS is also involved in binaural music, belonging to the Spanish group INTERMEZZO Music Project. 

His new release on mobilee is again breaking walls between Genres. "My Baby Moon" is exploring soundscapes and beat constructions that are clearly different to the usual mainstream electronica. His recent release was often found in the same playlists next to Bicep, Moderat or Four Tet. His last EP "Do We Love Each Other" stayed in the Beatport Electronica Top 10 for almost three months alongside other top releases from XL Recordings, Warp, !K7 or Ninja Tune. Martin HERRS future looks bright!

Just a few months after EdOne purveyed his own reinterpretation to
Ivory & Auggie’s leaden prototype, demonstrating a fine
comprehension of “Basic Rhythm,” he returns on MoBlack Records,
now alongside Martin HERRS, and INVŌKER on remix duties, with
“Tatalina.” On A side, the Spaniards delicately unfold a poignant
sojourn that wanders and diffuses the rims of isolation and
belonging. The tender, 6:28 minute aural escapade starts off with a
simple ingress, pummeled by an inquisitive bassline into a gripping
melodic procession. Tatalina escalates to a euphoric stillness
transcended by haunting piano chords, but breaks free when
intermittently disrupted by deep synthetic pulsations, evoking the
frailty of memory and vulnerability of emotion.
French rising star INVŌKER deploys his empowered rendition of the
title track, pulling a bit less feeling from emotion and a little more
feeling from sense. Tension and groove pull and reverb in this
particular tug of play, where space is dark, energy is incandescent
and the texture of sound is moist and locomotive. MB384 sits in the
juncture of memory, motion and emotion, a pursuit of that fleeting
moment that is only present in one instant, as well as an attempt to
prolong its existence through sound.
