New year, new tunes, new benchmarks, new heights.

What a start to Selador’s twelfth (count ‘em) year. We were delighted when Dilby debuted for us recently with the vocal gem ‘Give It Up Again’, a standout feature on our recent Showcase 20 compilation – and we’re doubly delighted (verging on overcome, frankly) to follow it up in double quick time with this essential EP.

The Berlin-based Kiwi straddles genres effortlessly, and subsequently finds his tunes in the boxes of a wide variety of DJs. This stellar selection will no doubt follow suit.

We kick things off with ‘Sacred Ground’ a majestic roller with a classic ‘90s feel that hits the spot in all the right places before dropping to a distinctive ‘dread’ vocal. ‘Closer’ then steps up with its rolling percussive intro paving the way for duelling riffs, a real early ‘00s classy heads down vibe for this one. And our titanic triptych is completed by the aforementioned ‘Give It Up Again’, which is more than worthy of another trip round the block as a reminder of its undeniable potency.

We love a good collab here at Selador Towers – and they’re always born out of friendship, mutual respect and like-minded creative souls – not them there pesky algorithms. This is how Steve and Kris (as he’s known to Mr & Mrs Candles) found themselves holed up together concocting the ace tuneage we now present for your delectation and delight.

‘Mysko’ was teased on Dave Seaman & Anthony Pappa’s exclusive Selador Showcase 20 mix, and just like in days of yore, when hot tunes were…er…showcased on mix comps ahead of release, the enquiries storming in down the wires to HQ meant a single release was imperative. Of course, by this point our trusty troubadours were already in workaholic mode, and sister tune ‘Soul Repeat’ was already nearing conclusion.

The vibe? Melodic. Dreamy. Uplifting. Goose-bump-inducing. Intricate. Subtle. Classy. Guaranteed to generate secret smiles and knowing looks between strangers on the dancefloor. The tunes that sexy beast you saw beaming from ear to ear at the bus stop had playing in their headphones.

Ambassador, you are spoiling us!

That’s right, in our role as House & Techno (and all flavours inbetween) global emissaries, we here at Selador like to think we’re masters in finding the cherry to place atop the cake…or indeed the icing…or arguably both in this case, as we cook up not one but two sizzling, oven-ready remixes (enough with the ropey baking analogies, get a move on – exasperated Ed). Sorry. Where were we? Oh yes – a top notch remix package, that’s where.

Hot on the heels of getting you all somewhat hot under the collar by unveiling Danny’s splendiferous new double header release, here in its slipstream, hoving into view in the rear-view mirror and set to join them in pole position, are two majestic re-rubs of ‘Stereodrama’.

The annals of Seladorian history are chock-full of top-drawer collaborations, and now added to that esteemed list, we have Aubrey Fry (Bedrock and LNOE stalwart making a long overdue and most welcome Selador debut) teaming up with a man who is quickly becoming a Selador lynchpin, Nick Stoynoff. Their version excursion twists and turns (like a twisty turny thing, as a wise man once said), and much as this is both an over- and often mis-used expression, it genuinely takes you on a journey through the sonic stratosphere, a mix of two halves as the deep and driving opening salvo blends into a genuinely euphoric crescendo.

And we ain’t done yet! Enter stage left Toulouse-based techno troubadour DCLVIII OFC, another label debutant who we’re beyond chuffed to have on the team. Tempo up, heads down, lights low, volume knob turned up to 11 for a brooding masterclass set to rattle a bassbin near you any night now.

Last year, Kasper Koman and I had the pleasure of playing a b2b set to open Het Sieraad in Amsterdam. I've been a long-time fan of Kasper's music, and after collaborating with him on our track Positive Power, it felt only natural to team up behind the decks as well. I normally don’t play this proggy, but with Kasper it was the perfect moment to dig into some of my favorite progressive house tracks—which I honestly love playing especially for opening sets. We both had a really fun night, and I hope that energy resonates with you all.

Ignacio Torne is a DJ and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with over a decade in electronic music. His passion began early, waking up to bolero records and later playing bass in a teenage garage band. A friend’s trance-heavy DJ sets introduced him to electronic music, eventually leading him to Progressive House.

Influenced by Cattaneo, Digweed, Warren, and Sasha, he’s developed a signature sound that continues to evolve. In that time he has played in top Buenos Aires venues like Crobar, Jet, Niceto, and The Bow, and his releases on labels like Motion Recordings, AH Digital, and Massive Harmony reflect his steady rise in the progressive scene.

On this Balance Selections mix, the Argentinean artist delivers a smooth, warm set rich with melodic flourishes. Featuring tracks by Kamilo Sanclemente, Mike Isai, Dmitry Molosh, and more, it is a deep progressive set that keeps on delivering.

Returning to Purified Records, Amsterdam-based artist Milan Steenwinkel unveils his ‘Broken Dreams’ EP - a striking two-track release that firmly establishes his place within the melodic techno landscape. Featuring ‘Broken Dreams’ and ‘Stories Left Behind’, the EP delivers a powerful blend of cinematic emotion and dancefloor intensity. Both tracks are driven by soaring melodies, tight percussion, and an underlying sense of momentum that reflects Milan’s signature balance of emotion and energy. With this fresh release, he brings a bold and expressive sound to the label - rooted in melodic and progressive influences and crafted with a clear artistic vision.

The ‘Broken Heart’ EP artwork is a photograph taken by Juan Mora of oceanic manta rays (Mobula birostris) in Revillagigedo National Park, Mexico. A Colombian biologist, UW photographer, and expedition leader, Juan has dedicated his life and work to ocean advocacy. His camera serves as a powerful tool to share his passion and highlight the importance of protecting our planet.

This mission is shared by COBI (Comunidad y Biodiversidad) (@cobi_mx), a Mexican NGO rooted in community and driven by a deep commitment to ocean conservation. By working hand in hand with coastal fishers, advancing sustainable practices, and generating knowledge through participatory science, COBI helps safeguard marine life and the livelihoods that depend on it.
