It's been a while - my taste and style has been expanding and evolving. I hope you'll enjoy this one - it's part of set that I recorded while I played at a small afterhours gathering.

It highlights some of the minimal, deep, and groovy tech house that I've been listening to a lot lately, and spans across medium to high to back down to low energy vibes. I hope it serves as a demo of what can be expected from me at any afterhours party/event that I get to play at in the near future.

This one's story goes like this:

It's a House Transitions Set (Deep House - to - Tech House - to -  Progressive House) done as an opening warmup set at a lounge/bar/club to get the incoming crowd interested, engaged, dancing, and finally locked in for the highlighting or next act.

April 2010 Electro Mix

This is probably the most important mix that I have recorded for myself. Jaytech is one of my favorite producers and DJs of all time, and this is a producer showcase and a tribute to the great hits in my book that Jaytech has produced and/or remixed. I really hope you enjoy the mellow, deep, and trance-inspired progressive house sounds that is Jaytech's specialty, as much I do listening to and spinning.

Bassline Tech Hip House MiniMix

SELECTA-NAY (Tanay Buddhdev) is a California Bay Area-based DJ with a deep-rooted passion for house and techno. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, his music is infused with the vibrant rhythms of his youth, drawing inspiration from 90s hip hop, reggae, and UK garage. Tribal, Hip Hop, and Dancehall vocals are often to be expected in his DJ sets.

As a co-founder of Mapenzi Collective and a resident DJ at It's A Journey, SELECTA-NAY has been eagerly contributing to and playing at many underground and club venues in the Bay Area, including San Francisco favorites such as Audio, Public Works, The Midway, f8, Monarch, and Hawthorne. He's shared the stage with renowned artists like Mark Knight, Amine Edge & Dance, Mr. V, Joeski, Harry Romero, and Franky Rizardo, showcasing his versatility across genres like Minimal / Deep Tech House, Afro House, Tribal House, Progressive House, and Techno.

With a motto of "Speed of life is 128 BPM," His DJ sets tend to be focused journeys across various styles, tailored to the venue and time of the set.
