Exactly one year on from the release of their airwave-dominating debut collaboration I Found You (Neptune) back in May 2020, prolific Swiss hit-machine, EDX, and exquisite Australian singer-songwriter, Jess Ball, now join forces once again to announce their eagerly anticipated sophomore collab, Take Me Home.

Due for worldwide release via Sirup Music on Friday, May 28, Take Me Home explores the deeper, more soulful side of EDX’s vast production repertoire, as Switzerland’s most successful electronic artist shows off his endless studio credentials to deliver yet another unique single, brimming with attitude.
Complimenting Jess Ball’s ethereal topline with a perfectly matched deep house instrumental, the club-oriented vocal cut is built around deep luscious basslines, subtle piano riffs, shuffling tech-house rhythms and an unmistakably catchy synth refrain, which EDX manipulates to extraordinary effect throughout.

Speaking about the new record, EDX commented:

“Take Me Home is my first vocal single of 2021 and is a very special record to me. Jess and I had such a great time working on ‘I Found You’, so it made perfect sense to reconnect for another collaboration. Jess really is an amazing artist and an absolute pleasure to work with, so I was super excited about the prospect of getting in the studio together again. It’s a little deeper and darker than our first record and I’m so happy with the result. Hope you guys like it!”

Hailing from Bristol, UK, British producer Sam Higgins — or https://soundcloud.com/nuaspect as his more commonly known — is an artist we’ve been championing for a while over here at Selected. Heavily inspired by the early dubstep and UK bass records that took hold of the underground scene in the UK, his diverse discography takes influence from myriad genres across the electronic music spectrum, from Drum and Bass and Bassline all the way through to Future House and Deep Tech.

Since debuting on our YouTube channel back in March 2017 with Things I Said, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome back the burgeoning producer time and time again for a slew of majestic hits including Light, Said To You, What’s In My Head, Run Deep and Something Real. Now, returning to Selected for his first outing of the year, the prolific British talent looks to open his 2022 tally with a bang as he drops his latest musical masterpiece Afterlife.

Infectious vocal hooks, deep basslines and shuffling rhythms form the backbone of the release, as Nu Aspect, Jewels and MAGNUS pull out all the stops to lay down a warm, emotive deep house anthem that'll live long in the memory.

Formerly one half of Estonian Drum & Bass outfit ‘Cartoon’ and the production mastermind behind some of the biggest hip hop artists in Eastern Europe, genre-hopping producer Jozels has pursued a welcome sonic shift of late, swapping out the broken beats of his early career for the four-to-the-floor rhythms that we love over here are Selected. As some of you may recall, back in February of this year Jozels teamed up Estonian singer-songwriter Jon Hazel for the beautiful progressive house cut ‘Uplifted’, which marked his debut release on Selected. Now, just four months on, the Pärnu-based talent returns to the imprint for his eagerly-anticipated sophomore release, as he unveils the stunning new single ‘Milka’. Euphoric female vocals are underpinned by driving melodic basslines, epic breakdowns and some of the finest production skills we’ve come across to date, as Jozels shines with this latest release.
