Emerging from the UK house scene with a number of successful solo releases (including I Told You, Believe In Me, Tell You, Hold Me and most recently Like This), Bristol-based producer ØGM has been on the Selected. radar for a while now. With over 100k monthly listeners on Spotify and over 10 million streams to his name, ØGM now teams up with enigmatic up-and-comer GARGAN and hotly tipped English singer-songwriter SHELLS for the trio’s stunning debut collaboration, I Need It. 

Following her debut EP Shapes back in 2016, SHELLS has seen considerable career success and hefty BBC Radio 1 support off the back of a number of critically acclaimed hit singles including Jailbird, Gold and Jagwar to name a few. Having toplined for MEDUZA on their 2020 smash hit Born To Love, the Kent-based songstress now offers up her vocal expertise to this latest offering from ØGM and GARGAN, as the three artists come together to deliver something rather special.

Composing an emotive instrumental arrangement, brimming with rolling percussion, euphoric synths and energetic basslines, ØGM and GARGAN provide the perfect backdrop to SHELLS’ stunning vocal lead, which carries the track across it’s blissful three-minute duration. Hailing from Bristol, UK, British producer Sam Higgins — or https://soundcloud.com/nuaspect as his more commonly known — is an artist we’ve been championing for a while over here at Selected. Heavily inspired by the early dubstep and UK bass records that took hold of the underground scene in the UK, his diverse discography takes influence from myriad genres across the electronic music spectrum, from Drum and Bass and Bassline all the way through to Future House and Deep Tech.

Since debuting on our YouTube channel back in March 2017 with Things I Said, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome back the burgeoning producer time and time again for a slew of majestic hits including Light, Said To You, What’s In My Head, Run Deep and Something Real. Now, returning to Selected for his first outing of the year, the prolific British talent looks to open his 2022 tally with a bang as he drops his latest musical masterpiece Afterlife.

London-based producer Nu Aspect returns to selected. with “Watching Over You”, teaming up with British singer-songwriter Marlo Rex for a track that blends atmosphere, energy, and emotion in equal measure.
