"I was lucky to be growing up as a clubber in Edinburgh, Scotland in the 90's when it was blessed with some great clubs. Two of these in particular - the legendary techno club Pure and the unrivalled house club Tribal Funktion were huge influences on me, with both clubs bound together in the same location - The Venue (check the tracklist), a sweat-dripping, low-ceiling temple of chaos and creativity, now sadly no more.  Some of the tracks on this mix are old, some are newer but they all reflect these influences and the kind stuff myself and my friends might have been listening to either in style, in spirit or vibe. This is a party jam - a range of tracks that might've have been played at a house party surrounded by friends to propel them onto the living room dancefloor, or hype them up and get them out the door to a club.
