Ron Trent takes on the mighty Skymark original, and elevates the listener to a whole other place like only he can. Trent treats us to one his deepest, dubbiest jams to date - embracing the strength of the song while interweaving his own rhythm throughout. 

The original track, here on the flip, featured on Skymark's 2015 'Wave From The Nucleus' LP- a beautiful song from the sun-kissed Swiss musician and producer who resided in Rio de Janeiro for many years, and now in Barcelona. 

A real meeting of minds - both artists express their love for the deep and organic, incorporating Brazilian sounds, gospel, disco, jazz and soul in their music. Their similar, detailed approach and ideology blend perfectly on this 12” release.

Although highly revered by those that know, the relentlessly prolific Nottingham man still manages to coexist under the radar for a few - a true purveyor of everything underground. Lone's expansive production port-folio stretches beyond a decade, meandering genre's, yet coasting trends and fads; whilst achieving his unwavering 'UK' stonk across his entire repertoire - without doubt a contributing factor to his global acclaim.

Alexander Lay-Far is a producer whose blends of deep house, disco, boogie, soul, jazz and broken beat have appeared on labels including Local Talk, Atjazz, City Fly, Lazy Days, Leng and the In-Beat-Ween Music imprint he established in 2015.

Track titled Something Else is a deliciously warm and woozy off-kilter broken beat track with ear-catching synthesizer flourishes and yearning melodies.

This 7 track slice of genius showcases the Russians trademark style, with every twist and turn more wobbly and pleasing to the ears than the last. The mysterious talent out of Russia is the second producer from his country to feature on Flat White Records, proving that they have a really good thing going on there.

If you're of the impression that marching bands aren't the epitome of cool, then you're probably close to the truth. The drummers however are an exception. Now these guys, although often dressed in silly uniforms, make some pretty swish sounds and it seems @romaalkultan (Oliver Malin) thinks something similar. The genre-diverse producer based out of the UK is back with his Everlasting Romance EP and we're all about it's lead track 'Step Inside'. 

Blasting out of the gates with a throbbing kick and those aforementioned military-like snares, we soon meet a host of other party members including acid stabs, perky keys and what sounds like a Native American giving his flute a good blow. Keeping it UK, Malin's had this one pressed courtesy of London label Tiff's Joints (we'd love to know how they came to that name). If lads like Bradley Zero and Gilles Peterson are already giving tracks off the EP a run, then you'd assume it's a pretty tasty release. 

When we're allowed to once again dance in crowds and be merry. Get along to see Romaal play!

Embarking on a journey from Italy to Anatolia and from Africa to the Americas, Nelson of the East soars over imagined landscapes in his debut album, Kybele. Plug in your headphones, drown out the world, and explore the far corners of Earth through the lens of Kybele, the Anatolian goddess of wild nature.

With the world in flux and isolation taking its toll, musical escapism has become a much needed pastime for today’s armchair adventurers. Treating recorded sound as a vehicle of time travel, Milanese artist Nelson of the East takes listeners on a journey through kaleidoscopic soundscapes with his debut album released on Tartelet Records. Skillfully weaving the sounds of East and West, the nine-track LP fuses Turkish and Balearic influences with a strong electronic backbone into an otherworldly soundtrack of our time.

“The feeling that passes through the record isn’t straight. It changes, it turns, it is never predictable. Never being able to predict which landscape you arrive at next or where the music is taking you is key to enjoying the sound journey,” says Nelson. “While I was composing Kybele I collected a lot of influences during my travels and I’d like to think that this is the reason why my album sounds like a journey,” he adds.
 
Following his previous EP releases Night Frames and Phase Alternating Lines, Nelson explores new territories on Kybele. The album opener, “Explorer,” is an exhilarating build up to what could be a 80s sci-fi movie, showcasing Nelson’s knack for cinematic moods.
  
Tracks like the exotic sounding Culto, with its Anatolian nuances and middle eastern-sounding scales are made by layering synths to achieve an orchestral effect, while Yahuda dives into dark, melancholic electro with a Detroit feel not far from the sounds of the great Drexciya.

The nine-track product of this young artist’s vision will be limited to 300 copies pressed on 180g vinyl. Kybele will be available on vinyl and digi June 5th 2020.
