For our 17th edition of OSCUR podcast, we are thrilled to bring you an artist that has became a true heavy weight in the worldwide techno scene. All the way from Berlin Germany, we present to you none other than Luis Flores.

Renown DJ and Producer, Luis Flores is a Mexican-born, Berlin-based artist steadily gaining traction in the worldwide techno scene, playing the likes of TRESOR in Germany, and festivals throughout Europe, Asia, and North & South America.  His 2019 set at Detroit's Movement Electronic Music Festival went down as a night to remember, and pushed Flores even deeper into the American techno scene. His most recent project "Belief Defect" with co-creator Moe Espinoza AKA Drumcell was featured in the Berlin Festival "Atonal".
Classifying Luis Flores's sound is a difficult feat, and that is precisely his intent. His personality and vast experience are present in every track he produces and his live shows often highlight his improvisational approach to dark, groove-driven techno. If you consider yourself an appreciator of the art and essence that is techno music, you cannot miss this.

Kas:st is the French Parisian duo, owners of Flyance Records.

Their artistic universe fluctuates between hypnotic rhythms, dark and mind-blowing emotions, constantly looking to reach the “mental” aspect that they love in modern techno and in which they identify themselves with.
Following this vision, they have released in November on their own label, the first chapter of a substantial project entitled “Dysphoria I Euphoria”: 2 double EPs with 4 original tracks and 4 remixes on each one. Thus, they have surrounded themselves with artists closed to their musical style : Shlømo and AWB from Taapion Records, Anetha, Blocaus’parties resident, Detroit’s legend Luke Hess, English artists Setaoc Mass and Deepbass, Re:Axis - Monocline Records label owner, and HVL, the resident of BASSIANI’s parties in Georgia.
Following next : releases on Parisian’s label Blocaus Series and Taapion in early 2017.

Kiani & His Legion, aka Thomas Neyens, has been making quite a name for himself throughout the last years. After being picked up by Red D on We Play House Recordings, he released on other renowned labels such as Curle Recordings and Defected Records. Anno 2018, he is known as one of the core artists of Nuno Dos Santos' Amsterdam based Something Happening Somewhere (SoHaSo) label. In addition, he runs his own label, Tanzbar Records, on which he releases under his techno moniker Far Out Radio Systems.

His productions are in the bags of DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Sven Väth and Levon Vincent and some have become signature tracks of Denis Sulta, Konstantin Sibold, Dr. Rubinstein and many more. He has been remixed by artists such as Fatima Yamaha and Manoo. His eclectic mixing style has led him to the play at the greatest European clubs and festivals, such as Berghain, Tomorrowland and Pukkelpop, amongst many others. 2018 marks the arrival of a live set, in which Neyens puts his machines in gear in order to make you dance!

Swedish techno producer, DJ and art creator Petter B searched back in his archives to deliver this week's Global Vibe Radio episode, releasing a mix that dates back to the early 2000s.

For the next hour or so Petter B takes us on a journey created with his DJ decks, crafty use of FX and a whole lot of edits.

Petter B's history with techno dates back to the mid '90s, when he first got behind the decks, and continues today with his label "Bond" as well as releases on @parabelmusic, Drumcode, KD Raw, BEK Audio, Modularz and SWE, amongst others.

In 2012 he re-launched his solo career after having been a part of the techno duo “Hertz” for several years. Adam Beyer was the first to sign Petter B’s solo material to his well-known imprint Drumcode.

In 2013 Petter started his own imprint Bond. Bond is the result of the way he DJs and thinks of music as a DJ. The way Petter sees it, all music has a purpose and makes out building blocks in his DJ performance. The driving idea behind Bond is therefor to create those blocks rather than complete full-on productions. When using these blocks the perception of a track can be changed every time it is played depending on how they are combined.

The unique bond that is created when tracks, loops and sounds are combined live is what fascinates Petter B as a DJ. Even though Bond is a young label, it has gained great support from many names in the techno scene. Up until today, Petter B has released lots of tracks and remixes under different names and on various labels around Europe. His success in the industry has led to frequent gigs at events and clubs throughout the world.
