SI/100 qui se prononce SANS SOUCI est inspiré de l'architecture rococo. Il ne s'agit pas d'une représentation à l'identique de cette architecture mais plutôt d'une utilisation de ses principes pour créer de la musique. Rococo vient du mot rocaille, le coquillage est donc à son origine. Dans l'architecture rococo qui est un art total, les motifs végétaux sont dominants et le rendu est très propre, extrêmement travaillé. C'est pourquoi je suis partie de sons de nature enregistrés dans différents endroits du monde. Le travail d'écriture, de composition de l'album ainsi que la prise de son ont duré deux ans et demi. Cet album est également un carnet de voyage sonore. Le processus créatif était comme un jeu, je n'avais pas de plan. Même si mon intention était claire la forme qu'aurait cet album ne l'était pas. SI/100 a été conçu comme une grande track découpée en plusieurs thèmes, mais surtout en deux principaux: la mer et la terre. J'ai fait les chansons à l'instinct parfois en enregistrant en une prise une mélodie et un texte. Les sonorités sont très planantes, un peu ambiante et les voix peuvent sonner comme des chants de sirènes. Les instruments plus "classiques" comme le violon et le piano font face à une armée de sons environnementaux et électroniques. Cet album capture des moments de pesanteur pendant lesquels l'harmonie règne. Des moments rares pendant lesquels, ancré dans une réalité obstruée par les peurs, la violence, l'artificialité, notre esprit s'autorise à rêver d'une nature foisonnante et heureuse.

GO is me saying goodbye to an old lover. Biking back home in Berlin under a beautiful yellow fall light. I feel free, I am happy, I embrace a new life without this ghost from the past. The colours of the leaves are mesmerising, yellow, red, orange and brown. One last reverence before falling down. My eyes are blessed by their beauty. The realisation that my life alone at this moment is better than it ever was with the wrong one.

Les hauts et les bas sont légions dans les histoires d’amours les plus fortes. SANS SOUCI exprime ces moments de doutes pendant lesquels le coeur battant on se demande pourquoi. Est-ce l’amour doit être épuisant? Quelle est cette force qui nous attache à un être? Quand chaque baiser a le goût du premier, comment peut-on pleurer et aimer en même temps?

The story of a sensitive man with a strong woman. One day my boyfriend was crying, I comforted him and this song came out. WATER is the element in which I feel the best, my natural environment.

WATER

PRAIA DE BUZIO means "beach of shells" in Creole. The song is a condensate of my memory of this special place. It was in Capo Verde, a very small beach, in a cave full of broken shells, inaccessible. The waves breaking on the shells created a melody that was amplified by the echo in the cave. In the song we can hear some sounds recorded there. I wrote the lyrics immediately afterwards, still shocked by so much beauty. I will probably never go there again. The memory of it is still untouched.
