This is my first album with my first song rereleased and sampled. I made most of these songs over winter break sitting on the corner of my bed staring out the window and a lot of my songs use voice memos of recordings i took on walks w my dad and brother and xano and also samples of me playing vibraphone from highschool. I tried to have most of the songs have their own pulse to them, i was worrying a lot about my heart health when i started putting together this project. My highschool band teacher showed me steve reich which also had a heavy influence on songs with droning and syncopated melodies which i find very beautiful. Some of these tracks were made within the last two years and remade and sampled into more or less. I hope i have made something that is nice to listen to and soft. minimized drone was made three or four years ago and minimal drone samples a lot of it and builds on it, i wanted to have an album song transition. Half of these are love songs for various people and things, my family and my friends and special people. I wonder how far people will read into this paragraph. I am proud of how far I have made it and I have an endless amount of love for those around me and those who have helped me wake up in the morning. I rarely find myself scared and sad these days and I have learned to find my own company a warm hug, thats what these songs feel like to me. Solo dissonant drones that are warm and beautiful. quick demo. got real excited first using serum so i cooked this up with pretty much only serum. i will say i never finish tracks so im hoping posting some demos and then coming back to it will result in me actually finalizing this thought and putting vocals on. otherwise... until midterms are over

everything is a downer

made this geeked out of my mind in the library. took an old demo in highschool from when i used to be really tapped into like staggered vibraphones and repetition and phasing so , im going to go back to making some more like ambient remixes of 2017 pop songs after this but i just like how its a whole lot of nothing layered on top of a whole lot of nothing and some nice smooth synths

fifth beer clarity

I was practicing using sampler while in the library on a break and then i wrote up some vibraphone pieces to add in from some sheet music which i sprinkled in. I am going to try and relearn vibraphone i miss making beautiful music on such a nice instrument, if only it wasnt so expensive to own. this is just essentially hide and seek but i added many strange effects and sidechained. I am posting pretty much all of my beats because i decided if i use all my free uploads on soundclouds then i am putting out enough tracks to treat myself to a new plug in :D

yeah idk. i cooked this up in like an hour when i got home. i like it and thats all that really matters to me. 

bulk meat cube

Made after a walk in park with daniel, we went and looked at the birds and we talked about the new year. Took a voice memo of the leaves blowing through trees on the walk and that was the main "sample" for this track. I want to listen to the track and think of walking in kissena and watching the man feed the seagulls with his kid on his shoulders.

i feel all of my heart beats

Last track on my album. I am really proud of this one, i wanted all of the copies of the riff to sound like they were talking to each other and then talking over each other and then talking to each other. Outside of minimized drone this may be also my most palatable listen since there is no excessive serum plug in static which although I love i understand the world may not. i think its okay to be selfish with the music you make, if you arent making it for yourself what are you doing it for?


minimal drone

Sampled my own vibraphone recordings played in a loud classroom. Left in the school bell which with a tuner was determined to be the note B#. Maybe it was unintentional but it would be really awesome if they planned it so that it encouraged students to be in time (if they had perfect pitch and made all of those connections). My music teacher mr mantilla let me play in the mornings before school and practice during my free periods and I credit a lot of my love for instrumental music to him.

b Sharp

This track was made in montreal but I am naming it after a bar i went to in brooklyn with my friends. The sample for this was from nee by perfume, it is a bit hard to hear since when I sample something I prefer to chop it down and rebuild until it is unrecognizable but you can hear sometimes the vocals that come through all of the processing. At birdys was a combo of montreal and new york friends and my dear friend ella who doesnt live in the city, it was awesome and wonderful being around so many people from different parts of my life. I had been talking to sher about perfume who was at birdys and she had been listening to them since she was eight and I thought that was so awesome, I wasn't listening to anything that awesome when I was eight outside of christian rock.


Birdy's

This is a rerelease, I touched up the quality a bit but not significantly. I thing song transitions in albums are wonderful and beautiful so that is what I tried to do here. The main vibraphone "riff" was clipped and used for minimal drone which I will likely discuss more in the next track. This song was made in 2020 for a school project on drones and was recorded at home in my basement in new york city when I owned a vibraphone.


This was made with a recording of me trying to learn tapping on my guitar around four years ago. I never really liked it and made it into a song but I wanted to chop it up a bit for this and I am happy with how it fits in although it isnt my favorite of the album since the lack of professional mixing is more obvious within non electronic tracks. I have less to say about this one. Are you reading these song descriptions? I am going to send you this album and I really hope you listen to it. i tried to learn midwest emo guitar and it wasnt very good

Similar process to the last, this was one of the few tracks that I made when I was back in montreal and didn't sample past work. This is also the only song I have that has drums on it, I have been trying to avoid any drums on this album, I do not play drums really anymore and making them electronic feels off. This one was a good one
