Self-Medication resides reclusively, but not exclusively, in Toronto, making downtempo, electronic music laden with a polarity of glitchy beats and wavering ambience, and combining a pharma-cocktail of electronic post-rock, indie, electro-acoustics, and experimental ether. The band creates a healthy blend of organic and inorganic, using a wide and interesting menu of analog and digital sound sources.
Earlier works featured fairly guitar-prominent trip-hop & post-rock elements, with vocals awash in delay and reverb; while later works have been more synthesizer-laden instrumental tracks. But there are no rules, and anything could happen.&#13;
