Allergy Season is pleased to share NYC-based producer Beta Librae’s first release with the label, Whisper Games - a surefire cure to late spring showers and a sticky prelude to a blistering summer.

Beta Librae introduced Kansas City to her airy, organic techno over a series of cassette-only releases, before moving to NYC and starting the jubilant and necessary Techno Feminism night at Bossa Nova Civic Club, along with fellow producer Umfang of Discwoman. Across four sweltering cuts, Whisper Games blends bongo-driven techno and sinuous deep house into a hypnotically-rendered dreamscape. Stitched together from live takes, the four tracks’ turbulent echoes and plasmic pulses seem to burrow straight into the ground (or club floor).

Mutant Beat Dance has returned with their debut self-titled 25 track album, a record album booklet consisting of 6 records in 3 different formats of 12"s, 7"s and 10”. 
This concept has been in development since 2015 with over 200 minutes running time.

5. Toy Story (snipclip)

For the 9th premiere we move to French producer @Poperttelli via @Maturre Records - This vinyl release is a 6 track EP, juggling between Electro, Techno and Ambient tracks. Naturally I selected one of the two Electro tracks on the EP for the premiere. Poperttelli told me that he had to start preparing the EP quite a long time ago which explains the title of the release ’Theseus’Paradox’. This philosophical thought experiment of the ‘Ship of Theseus’ can be compared to the creative process in Art, Music, Cinema and so on. It creates questions about the identity of objects and their final forms, but in reality, there is no absolute answer. The track I have chosen to premiere is called ‘Assume’. Clocking in at 113 BPM, this haunting track creeps in a way that might just make you look over your shoulder to make sure you aren’t being followed. Beautiful pad-stabs and a driving arpeggio carry the track through it’s 4:29 run. The vinyl was released June 1st and is currently shipping within 7 days of order being recieved.

Through seven of his books (from 1976 to 1998), A Vague Gardener aims to create a motley reconstruction of Murakami's universe, a dripping and glittering maelstrom where pain and love are angry sisters. Crossing ambient territories and electronic arpeggios, this project in an ode to a sincerely disturbing author. It ain't hard to tell that Murakami announced and described with his litterature the modern wandering of our globalized youth, and the human appetence for cruelty, risk and destruction. What if you're lost, exhausted, shameful and depressed ? Read Murakami, and you will realize that you're not alone. Never alone again in this jungle of trash.
