We remember seeing Švenčionis in a lot of our events. Not just because he‘s a fan of the same music. He‘s really really into the same music and has been part of the local scene on both sides of the stage for years now. Švenčionis is (or was?) an interesting promoter, the first who introduced Lithuania to live performances of Emptyset, Esplendor Geometrico and others. Also, once he was also working as a part of „Secret Thirteen“ journal – a flagship of dark, experimental and noisy music. Nowadays, he's on musical plans for the future. This is a dedicated guy.

He provided us with a mix of mostly newer sounds, but (of course) including some all-time gems. Yes, it‘s dark and experimental-ish in some way or another, but also including wavy soundscapes, crazy synths, tribal percussion, glitch aesthetics, folk motives and whatnot. Keeping a consistent slower tempo and pulse it‘s certainly more a household selection than a dancefloor-banging hour. Cheer up, take a seat and listen to this in the evening, after your super-meaningful and crazy-responsible job in the office. That will be the moment of the day.

https://soundcloud.com/pieralfeo is a composer and sound artist working with electronic music, currently studying Composition, Musical Informatics and Multimedia at the Conservatoire of Bari. 
Through his artistic practice, Pier Alfeo investigates cognitive and pathological problems caused by the intense relationship between human beings and automation systems in contemporary societies. His multimedia installations, sound sculptures and electronic musical compositions put the repetitiveness of mechanical-algorithmic automation systems under tension with the unpredictability of chaos. In this way, the rigid regularity of serial systems is interrupted and deconstruct from the inside, generating new configurations of meaning. 
Within these processes, sound acts in an organic way as a destabilizing and healing element at the same time, emerging with its irregular expressiveness.

オーディオファイルシーンの探求のために立ち上げたイベント「Listening Lab」。ゲストと共に、オーディオファイルの解釈を多角的に紐解いていきます。
初回のラボは、ハイエンドオーディオを取りそろえる「ダイナミックオーディオ」からストリーミング配信でお届けします。
DJ、プロデューサーとしての活動やライターとして「Obscure Sound」の著者としても知られるChee Shimizu氏、八王子の高純度音響Bar「SHeLTeR」 にて開催されているパーティー“Sci-Fi” のレジデントを務める、音響シーンのスペシャリストMoroi氏、そのSHeLTeRオーナーとして長年サウンドシステム手がけるYoshio氏の三名をゲストDJに迎え、今回のイベントをオーガナイズするRintaroの4名が参加する今回のラボ。
日曜日午後15時（ヨーロッパタイムは早朝6時）から、VDS YouTube Channelからお楽しみいただけます。

Listening Lab is an event series dedicated to depths of acoustic experiences.
Together with our guests, we will share beautiful handpicked selections of music and sound art in the tradition of audiophile listening sessions.
Listening Lab kickoff event will be streamed from Dynamic Audio, a leading provider of high-end audio equipment.
For the kickoff event, we will be joined by DJ and producer Chee Shimizu and writer, Moroi, a resident of the "Sci-Fi" party at SHeLTeR, as well as the long-time owner of SHeLTeR, Yoshio, who has been the creative head behind the SHeLTeR's sound system for many years.
Last but not least VDS organizer, Rintaro, will join the guests.
The Listening Lab will be streaming live on VDS YouTube Channel on Sunday at 3pm (6am in Europe GMT).
