A beautiful, famous forecastle shanty I first discovered and fell in love with in Assassin's Creed 4. Original track was specially recorded as a lullaby for Leigh Alexander. I then added the second track/harmonies and shared - Matthew S. Burns (@mrwasteland) then contributed the exquisite pedal tones and reverb, giving it a whole new shape and depth.

Interpretation taken largely from the excellent in-game shantyman; harmonies borrowed from the masterful The Corries (http://bit.ly/1aOWP70).

By turns authentic and manipulative, their friendship develops despite differences in privilege and perspective, as each girl seeks to understand, appreciate, and share what's really important in life.

Opening to the critically acclaimed 2013 indie game 'Gone Home'. Player character Katie has returned home after time abroad, only to find the house empty and her family's whereabouts unknown. Only by combing through the house can she piece together the events of the last year, and their impact on her loved ones. 

'Gone Home' is a game about discovering the sublime in the mundane,  and how everyday human minutiae contains profound and universal drama.
