This song was originally written in Los Angeles during our first tour in 2008. We were preparing for our performance at Show Cave night gallery and we had the pleasure to meet the owner, Eric Nordhauser. We spent the day at Show Cave recording and writing with Eric, Keenan and Hazel of Show Cave fame. Eric had a Sequential Circuts Prophet 5 and a Korg Electribe that we used to make this track, the housey sequence was already programmed in his sequencer. Kristy wrote the lyrics on the spot and it was all live, all 8 minutes of it. We recorded the audio with a VHS camera mic that was set up in the back of the gallery. That was the version that appeared on our 'Disaro' release of 2010.This newer, cleaner version is produced by Strange Powers. We are planning to release this as our first solo 7".

This new clean studio version was produced by our friend in Denver, Strange Powers. We really like the way this studio version of In Your Eyes sounds and we have started a kickstarter to cover most of the cost of having the track mastered for vinyl and to produce 200 copies of a 7". William Lennox (vocals, keyboards) and André Schreiber (bass), went to the same school in a small town in the north of Dortmund (Germany). In 1981, they decided to form a band, at the time when Postpunk / New Wave movement emerged. This was the birth time of the “Days Of Sorrow”. The first four piece line-up included Wolfram Huber (guitar) and Nicolai Sabotka (drums). John Tollhaus overheard them playing their song "Wild World" by chance, during a rehearsal and immediately offered the band to release this song on a New Wave sampler, he was planning to release. After staying for the entire rehearsal, he quickly changed his plans, wanting to produce the band's first 12” EP. Several months later, the EP “Remembering The Days” was published by Tollhaus Records in 1984. Later on, Claudio Stöber (keyboards) joined the band to relieve William of keyboard playing and Kurt Voigt (drums) replaced Nicolai on the drums. In 1985 Rainer Kitzmann replaced John Tollhaus as band manager and the "Days Of Sorrow" signed a contract with Rough Trade Records. Following up with two 7” single versions of "Wild World" and another 12” EP, called “A Thousand Faces” in 1986, shortly ahead of a scheduled Spanish tour, the band split up. In December 2017 William and André reformed "Days Of Sorrow", producing new material.
