Momentary Bliss is the album from Norwegian wonder boy, Third Attempt, who crafts a typically refined selection on the gorgeously eclectic and majestically constructed 'Momentary Bliss'. Continuing to light up the ever-reliable Beatservice roster, he combines an awe-inspiring production quality with an equally inspiring work rate, confirming his status as one of the Norwegian underground's most magnetic artists to have emerged over the last few years. True to his evolving-but-recognisable sound, his latest long-player seamlessly glides across musical textures, forging elements of lounge, ambient, disco, house, funk, hip hop and more into a brilliantly coherent collection.

The album opens with the evocative vocals of the 'Precious Day On Earth' before quickly raising the tempo with 'Soul, Body & Mind' that is pitched somewhere between glossy nu-disco and hazy trip-hop. 'Love Star' demonstrates his flair for sampling as he elegantly layers atmospheric vocal chops and dexterous musical refrains. 'Keep Your Head Up' sees hip-hop vocals and scratches over soothing keys, elegantly unfolding and adding mystique to the smokey groove. Dusty-fingered sample manipulation continues with 'Teach Me', where smoke drifts across waves of twinkling keys, while 'Turbo' continues the funk-flecked theme, with its crisp drums, driving mesmerising guitar licks, spacey synths and stirring chord progression.

'Secret' drifts into focus with luscious chords, hypnotic guitar riffs and robust bass. The disco energy of  'Our Show For The Night' subtly shifts the mood while honeyed vocal samples beautifully augment the captivating orchestration as the dynamic arrangement unfolds. On 'Keep Playin' keys dance across the panorama, while the chopped hip-hop vocal cuts through before synth bass adding weight to the groove. 'Hold Me' contains some gorgeously orchestrated instrumentation, feel-good guitar licks, and stirring strings. Finally, the rolling breaks and sumptuous strings of 'Hard Times (Part Of The Journey)' propels jazzy keys, hazy guitar licks and evocative vocal samples to see the album home in suitably engaging style.

Turbojazz's label Last Forever Records welcomes another Italian talent in its roaster of excellent producers: BRINE - Hails from Bologna but raised as a DJ between London and Miami via San Francisco and Japan, Marco is among the most interesting figures on the scene between deep house and broken beat.

This is demonstrated by this EP too, after releases for labels such as Flat White (UK) and Close To Truth (US) to name a few, where he broadly covers the spectrum ranging from the funky and wonky house of the EP track "The Way I Do It" to nu disco with "Got Groove" and then moving on to more broken and deep atmospheres with "Push Up On Me" done together with the mysterious AL7! and ending with the visionary song "Chill [DAAAM!] featuring Los Angeles very own's mc VRGO. Broken District is the label launched by the creative minds of Jus Jam, Momla & Antwan. Starting up in 2018, the roster has included acts like SofaTalk, Real, J., Sam Irl, Turbojazz, Marian Tone, System Olympia, Junktion, Leon Revol, Setwun, Duktus, Jeppe Wolmer, Interface Palm, Jus Jam & Momla themselves. Here Broken District present their next collaboration with Slowaxx, the solo project and live band created by Riccardo Chiarucci, producer, arranger, and composer from Tuscany. His debut long player ‘Shapes Interfusion’ is a blend of home studio production and live recorded sessions that incorporate lo-fi, hazy jazz, mind-warping electronica, with lashings of hip-hop swagger. It was recorded with a host of dedicated session musicians, and rapper Young A.M.A. 
Opener ‘Emoyeni’ - Zulu for wind, soul, and spirit - is a handful of thoughts fluttering about in the air, expressed via a Rhodes jam played by Luca Sguera, conversing with sharp electronic drums. ‘Y.B.A’ is an electronic jazz session featuring Young A.M.A, his provocative and ego-driven lyrics adding a complexity to the already atmospheric production. ‘Femmes’ is a tribute to women and a timely appeal against gender inequality. Featuring words from Emma Watson, against a backdrop of soulful rhythms & beats, and 90s sampled drums.
‘Pantere Rosee’ and ‘Stazione Funk’ complete both sides with their own unique aesthetic. The first offers up a pure Rhodes, bass & synth jam that is built on a foundation of some wildly acoustic drums. The latter moving in the opposite direction with deconstructed samples of more 90s drums pattens, acid lines and grooves. Closing out, Young A.M.A. returns on ‘No Secret, his easy flow openly expressing views on hip-hop, while the instrumental travels high up into a star filled galaxy with its multi layered keys floating above the incredibly heavy bassline played by Jury Maccianti.

WAREBLUES presents "Heat & House", a V.A. compilation album that celebrates the summer in Latin America. The album features a collection of tracks with fresh vibes and warm rhythms. The opening track, "Deep Under" by Andy Buchan, sets a soft and relaxed style. Colau, who returns home, follows with "I'm Tired Arguing", a raw sound with a tight bass line and gangster vocals. Nico Cortazzo debuts with "Deep But Soft", a disco-infused track with a name that perfectly describes its vibes. Reagan Mian lands on WRB and presents "In My Mind", a Jack rhythm with deep keys that will make you want to dance.
