We’ve got some fresh homegrown Irish techno from Izotope boss Jon10, to kick start your weekend that bit earlier. Jon10 channels deep and tribal rhythms on his latest release ‘Detroit Holds The Secrets’ as part of Sonic Intel’s all Irish VA, focussing on the groovier territories of techno.

JON10 has been committed to bringing hardgroove and groove orientated techno back to Limerick through his party Izotope. Jon10 burst onto the Irish electronic early in the year 2020 and has been rapidly gaining attention with stellar releases, mixes and his Izotope brand.

Jon’s style of mixing and producing is derived from 90s/early2000s techno, which is evident with the sharp cuts and thundering grooves found in both his music and sets. JON10 picked up music production not so long ago and is already embarking on a quest to revive the sounds that once graced the dance floors many decades ago.

Jon10 has recently released on his imprint Izøtope as well as a number of free downloads and edits, coming on various platforms. Jon10 has been refining his sound, and you can hear his sheer dedication to perfecting a vintage techno sound.

The Limerick native showcases a deep yet none the less pounding techno excursion in his latest techno offering. ‘Detroit Hold’s The Secrets’ is fuelled by emphatic bass drums, breakbeats, crisp hats and Detroit style dub chords, as well as sampling the classic techno track ‘Erase – The Secrets’. Deep and banging, just how we like our techno.

Sharing their love for uptempo beats that just hit the spot of hard hitting beats and pure groove, the two vinyl warriors join the German imprint with their latest EP ‚First Funk! For the first half of their match of funk and techno, „Love From the Hood“ is sent into play, going strong with a ground shaking bass, funky drums, syncopated dance stabs and catchy vocals! Closing the first half, „Take That Time“ continues in similar fashion, setting focus on vocals to score the second goal of the match. After the half time break „Here We Go“ returns in full force after some pep-talk in the locker room getting even deeper for some solid defense. Saving their well deserved spot in the finals, „Another Jam“ closes the first entry of Funk SV on Dance Petrol Records with a solid 4:0 that makes you chant:

Be ready for your next track to be played on repeat: The dynamic techno DJ duo Disguised is back with another powerful song - "Kowloon Sunset" is both groovy and intense, rapid and melodic. It's a blend of a perfect summer track and and a pumping techno song ready to accompany your next party night and greet the sunrise with you.

Disguised are not new to the techno world: Known for their unique sound - a fusion of rapid and melodious early 2000s techno rhythms infused with nuances of Tool and Detroit Techno vibes - they already worked together with labels like Suara, BCCO & Deadline Records. In 2020 they made their mark by launching their own indie techno record label INHERIT.

They are now a permanent fixture in many sets by great DJs: just recently in Richie Hawtin's set at the Sonar Festival as well as in sets of Amelie Lens, Elli Acula, Grace Dahl and many more.
