Heading into the New Year we have two heavy hitters coming together to drop some absolute madness for the SMNL crew. Label mates Todd Buchler and BMA have teamed up under the pseudonym “Sudden Flight” to deliver deep and dark flavors with some serious vibe. “Suspect” is big intro business and sets the pace for this release with it's cinematic soundscapes meeting rock-steady rhythms across a constant progression will keep the floor moving. “Undone” picks up the pace and on trend to help usher in the Tech Step revival in 2022. Dark brooding bass clashes with heavy stepping breaks in a futuristic mash out, flipping a classic style in a brand new way. Hoods up, heads down!

Seattle-based DJ Scam joins the Seminal roster with two 'ardcore / jungle inspired cuts designed for maximum worries in the dance. 'Metaknight' leads off with icy pianos and fractured divas, colliding into a bubbling bassline with granular edits, while 'Saatchi' keeps it 160 with a deeper, jungle tekno vibe full of old Akai sampler tricks and breakbeat ruffige. A razor-sharp debut sure to smash the virtual rave-o-sphere and beyond as we imagine when we can dance together again.

Kemal Okan continues his long-awaited return to drum'n'bass, this time gracing Seminal Sounds with a masterful remix of Northern Barrier's "Cold Sweat". Leading off with an acidic bassline that tears through trademark percussion, Kemal's production is in characteristically top form, with technoid bleeps and spatial effects snaking their way through the mix with organic precision. As the tune descends into its final drop, techno influences become explicit, with a subtle 4/4 groove that brings a different energy to the track and shows why Kemal's take on drum'n'bass remains so unique.
