RADIO:TRAUMA 029: OPTIONLIST

Optionlist is a Riga-born, London-based transdisciplinary creative based primarily in the world of sound. Their work includes DJ sets, music production, event organization, label management as well as sound art. Focused on the intersection between the hyper-online, biopolitics, queer identity and experimental club sounds, Optionlist’s work draws from both critical theory and avant-garde sound which manifests in a unique creative perspective. They founded and actively participate in managing the groundbreaking electronic record label Double Take, which released a charity compilation called “Torrent” that featured work from some of the most important new names in electronic music such as Exmantera, Apu Nanu, bod, Hellsing, Ship Sket and more. In their own practice they have played across a variety of high profile venues in Manchester and London, including the White Hotel and Venue MOT.

This mix is a reflection of the influences that make up their contemporary body of work - expect hyper-futuristic club sounds drawing from their online and real-world interactions, which comes alive as a symphony drawing from themes of sensuality, eroticism, fragmentation and release.

Sakura is a DJ and producer from Bern. With her music she opens the gates to the realm of  dreams, painful and beautiful at once. She seeks to escape the meaning of life and to permeate the emotional essence of music in between soft atmospheres and dense punches. 
She offers dark, nocturnal and adventurous encounters that enlighten lonely hours.
Sakura is the organizer of Fleur de Lune, resident DJ at Gaskessel Bern, part of the Nebula party series at Kapitel and of the interdisciplinary duo Scorpia. She is also part of the gabber-hyperpop-hardcore-experimental collective Ace of Space.
She has played in Bern, Zürich, Lausanne, Geneva, in Germany and France.
