This is a new version of a remix I did way back in 1998 or 99... The original version of this was done on ACID Pro and took me ages to get right (and still sounds hideous to my ears) compared to this version that I did from scratch in Ableton and took me a couple of hours. I've replaced the drum track with something that I've liberally borrowed (i.e. stolen completely) to make this something more in line with what I play these days as the original remix was meant to be a house remix.

I shared the original with other DJ's back in 1999 and It was leaked to the internet without my knowledge or my name attached (which may have been a blessing really). It is still strange to hear the original remix being played in weird places like at the Olympic games or in videos on Youtube especially when I know that it came from my crappy pc in the loungeroom of my old flat that could barely cope with running ACID Pro....ah well...enjoy.

it was incredibly moving to see how many of you connected, not just during the set, but especially afterwards — in conversations, in shared presence, in talks about politics or just in a simple knowing smile :))

das oben genannte recording war ein warm up dj set. als wir in den kiosk kamen war es noch recht frisch, also so leichte jacke lange hose frisch. nach kurzer zeit jedoch wurde es wärmer, das lag vor allem an den heißen tunes unserer beiden weichspüler der herzen.

wir bedanken uns bei der eventreihe "liminal" für die liebe einladung und die freundliche umsorgung, sowie bei allen tanzwütigen liebis, die es bis zum schluss im schönsten kiosk der stadt mit uns ausgehalten haben. wir fühlen nichts als liebe und sind noch sehr beseelt.
