Technotrance 27

I am at the older end of the spectrum of DJ’s so I have a long and eclectic passion for music.  From the punk era of the late 70's, through the love of Rock music in the 80's, Dance / Electro music of the 90's and naughties right up to today's House and Techno beats.  I have a particular love of the 2010 Tech House rolling beats.
Nothing is off limits from my musical standpoint.  I have watched countless musicals in Theatre Lane, Moshed in the pit at Guns and Roses in Manchester, jumped up and down to Martin Garrix at Ushuai and 'two stepped' to Tale of Us in Hi.


My teeth were firmly cut on Rock music during the late 80’s and 90’s which has probably influenced my liking for the harder side of electronic dance music.  That said, I have also flirted with other genres such as Hip Hop & Rap.

Current influences for my style of mixing would be Robert Hood, Christoph, Truncate, Kusp UK, Charles D USA and D.Dan to name just a few.
Influences for stage productions would be a man who is literally out of this world – Eric Prydz.  Seeing is believing with his production.

I have carved out a niche in my mixing style which I call Technotrance – a blend of Progressive / Techno and Trance music which fuses the three together.  Mixes can be heard on my weekly 1 hour set on the Revolution of Dance Radio for whom I am a resident DJ.

Let us hope that the word gets back on its feet again soon so that we can all enjoy playing and attending live events once again.
