The Clamps - Back To The Nubreak Mix Session (2004-2007)

Whether he's behind the decks or working behind the scenes, Creek has been around the block and back. Known offstage as Maarten van Meerbeek, his name reflects the fluid dynamism of his sets. Since starting out in 2011, he's become a staple in the drum and bass scene, delivering bangers at events like Liquicity, High Tea, WTF, Subquake, and Curated By.

His ability to shift from soulful to deep, while effortlessly bending genres, has made him a highly sought-after DJ. But Creek's impact doesn't stop at the booth — he's deeply involved in shaping the drum and bass community. He founded TRIBE, the drum and bass family in Breda, and co-hosts Curated By events as well as their podcast.

Beyond performing, Creek helps push the genre forward through his work at Liquicity’s sublabels Galacy Records and RIDMIC, scouting and supporting fresh talent. He also works as an agent at MB Artists, representing both rising stars and established names.

With a deep understanding of experimental music and a talent for genre fusion, Creek stands out. His influence stretches from stage to strategy — a true force in the scene. Driven by love for drum and bass and the people who live it, Creek’s sets always leave a mark.

KORSA004 - CREEK [KORSAKOV MIX SERIES]

After dropping a single on Insomnius Music in 2023, Section 63 is back on the label with his first full EP, ‘Corrosive’. It’s a heavy 4-tracker that stays true to his gritty, technoid-driven take on drum & bass—dark, stripped-back, and built to hit hard.

Section 63’s sound has deep roots. Influenced by early ‘90s breakbeat hardcore and the raw energy of London’s pirate radio, he went on to co-found The Sect and helped shape the harder, techno-inspired edge of drum & bass throughout the 2000s. These days, he’s pushing things forward as a solo artist, with releases on labels like Mute:8, Subtrakt, and VIA. With ‘Corrosive’, he’s back in full force, delivering a focused, futuristic take on techstep.

The EP kicks off with ‘Obey’—a pounding track that builds serious momentum through relentless drums and a tense, dystopian atmosphere. ‘Synthetic’ follows with sharp, metallic sounds and minimal grooves, like a soundtrack to a cold, machine-run city. The title track ‘Corrosive’ adds in a warped acid line and psychedelic twists, dragging you into a trippy, mind-bending space. Last up is ‘Light Work’, a moody, cinematic piece with eerie textures and a driving low end—somewhere between decaying industry and distant hope.

‘Corrosive’ is a bold and uncompromising release. It’s one for the heads who like their drum & bass raw, futuristic, and full of depth.
