story behind this: i made this in 48 hours in December 2021 and around when i started getting into yoga. my yoga app generates a playlist for each session and i found the music so inspiring that i wanted to sample them into some holy type beats -- i ended up making an ep. <3

hey everyone its been a while
this is the first time i've touched ableton in months
this track is me figuring out how to have fun with producing again
and going back to the basics

it seems the way for me to do that is just to keep things simple!
the main pad melody and vocal thing are all samples from splice that just worked so well so fast, which helped a lot. I usually get frustrated when I get bogged down with a raw sample or acapella that's hard to work with and fit to the grid, so having the pre prepared looped helped so much for keeping it fun

i've always loved this style but never actually made much of it, so this was especially fun, and very reflective of how my emotions lately

i made this track in like 1 hour and was really worried to upload it. usually my tracks like Breathwork take much longer. but i think this still sounds good, and am trying to internalize that not everything has to be perfect
