Richard Burkinshaw and Jamies Rial aka Audiojack are no strangers to the 20/20 Vision. With 10 full releases, an album and a ton of remixes on the label, they are considered a cornerstone of 20/20 Vision history and have gone on to become global stars in their own right. For this release however, the boys have gone for something a little bit different with all the tracks on the All by Mouth EP were made using only sounds from the human mouth...

They explaining how the concept came about:  "We make our sounds from scratch these days but when we started out ten years ago our music was sample based and we built up quite a collection. Last year we had a look through and came across a CD with thousands of vocal phrases and beatbox recordings. We thought it would be a fun challenge to make a track using only sounds made by the human mouth and ended up with Vowels, which sounded pretty unique and worked in a club environment too. We sent it to Ralph at 20/20 Vision who have always been open to releasing more experimental stuff and he suggested we make a full EP in the same way."   We are lucky enough at Data Transmission to be premiering Vowels today below..

Sender has finally reached the big milestone with its catalogue number 100. What a ride it has been through the past 16 years! On this occasion we proudly present a special selection of tracks and collaborations produced by label-head Benno Blome. A series of tracks, or rather a series of night shots. 
Shots taken in the absence of daylight, capturing raw b/w-stills of drive and spirit. The first Night Shot (send100.1) is coming with a stunning original version of "Check Check" by Benno Blome featuring vox by Konrad Cadet aka Baby Ford on side A, and two strong remixes by Mihai Popoviciu and Dub Taylor on the flipside.

Ryan Crosson makes his grand return to VisionQuest, the label he co-founded with Seth Troxler, Lee Curtis and Shaun Reeves, with his 'I Hope You Wil'l EP as his first solo outing on the label since 2015’s ‘On The Rise’.

Here Mixmag unveils the EP's lead track ‘ITYC’, which showcases Crosson's knack for producing hypnotic, deep and driving house cuts. Bubbling synth rhythms and steady percussion lay the foundation for a delicate chopped vocal hook and subtle cosmic textures to lock people into a trance on the dancefloor. 

The 'I Hope You Wil'l EP is set for release March 29.

The 20 Years of Poker Flat celebration is truly the gift that keeps on giving. 

Here we have two perfect examples - Guti and Greg Gow revisiting some seminal moments by the power-combo of Steve Bug and Cle. 
First up is a rework of Behind the Curtains - originally released in 2007 and a masterful example of the deeper, minimal sound of that time. Here, South American legend Guti switches up the parts and delivers a tough, contemporary take on the classic. Maintaining the stripped down vibe the track is augmented by lush pads and sharp beats. 

Similarly, Canadian producer Greg Gow takes on Seven Hills from 2011, and manages to sculpt a firing, lean rhythmic workout that would under any normal circumstances set the dance floor ablaze.

The productive Sender outfit transmits technohouse of the minimalistic, yet jacking and deep variety. Originally founded in Cologne by Benno Blome towards the end of the last millennium, the label has since moved to Berlin, where it is fittingly located in close proximity to the city's spectacular TV tower.
