Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The word Vimana is used widely in the Itihasas especially in the Ramayana to denote primarily two things:- either a vehicle or a building-tower. Thus Vimanas are mentioned as present in Ayodhya referring to the building-towers in the Ayodhya city. It is mentioned as present in Lankapuri referring to the building-towers of Lankapuri. Lanka also has the Puspaka Vimana, a vehicle. This vehicle Vimana of Ravana is not mentioned as a flying saucer kind of a thing, contrary to the depictions in popular art. When Ravana came to abduct Sita, Ravana's Vimana is mentioned as a flying chariot with horses yoked to it complete with a Sarathi (chariot driver)! During the attack of Jatayu, this charioteer is wounded and killed and the chariot was partially damaged by Jatayu. In various other passages it is mentioned as having flying horses, vaguely as driven by birds etc. In some passages it is compared to specially shaped clouds and so on. Adari is taking a journey with Vimana to Brahmaloka carrying Shiva’s snake in his hands. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These three tracks can increase the level of your consciousness. Ashtar, Nedisco and Señora are the true ambassadors of Kali.

On side A the forgotten 1984 boogie masterpiece, Revelação by legendary performer Emilio Santiago gets the edit treatment from the TropiCals duo, then, with ’lluvia Ácida’ Budabeats staple Chillum Trio creates a 10 minutes long acidic tropical shower. On the flip Karl Planck, founder of the genius musical time machine known as Radiooooo.com, shows us how to adjust a 90’s dance tune from Egypt to the current dancefloor, then we wrap things up with the oriental tinged fusion house tune ’Scarabeus’ by Balint Boldizsar. The EP is limited to 300 copies worldwide.

We complete 2019 with the"Sky, Horse and Catch EP“ by label boss Noema himself. On his quest to"Bring the Jams“, the world traveling DJ delivers two stunning tunes, streaked with percussions that he recorded on a trip to Sao Paulo. Last but not least, Noema's EP comes along with a mind-bending remix by our favorite Romanians Khidja. 
 The title track"Sky, Horse and Catch“ translates a 90's Detroit House Groove to the present day and adds Cuica, Berimbau and several other Brazilian drums on top. Riding the complex groove, you encouter eccentric synths, mysterious soundscapes and of course the horse on this 11 minute long hack. "Minhocão“ trades the horse for a racing car and takes you on a cruise on the same-named elevated highway that leads through the city of Sao Paulo. Surrounded by driving beats, guitar single-notes, massive synthbass howls and a gritty Moog theme, this jam is a hell of a joyride! 
 Khidja strips down the original the title track to its core and creates a solely percussive version in a half-time groove. By adding a virtuos Qanon/Saz-like sound the tune develops an arabesque flavour with a dubby bass as the cherry on the top.

We welcome back Spanish producer Señora for a double gatefold album entitled ‘Fósil’ that showcases his unique take on hypnotic rhythm, found sounds and sampling. Señora became a firm favourite with the likes of Andrew Weatherall (R.I.P.) and Sean Johnston for his rugged grooves and innovative approach to production, melding the sounds of machines, animals, electricity and other weird noises in a flurry of FX and sonic experimentation. He debuted on this label in 2017 and has also landed on Shango Records, Night Noise and LNDKHN since then. Now based in Berlin and a regular at clubs and festivals round Europe he offers up a debut album that features nine stunning pieces that aim to reflect on the next evolutionary steps of the human race. This is a hugely atmospheric album of perfectly realised interplanetary sounds, the whole thing taking you on a cerebral and evocative journey far away from here.

Sinchi returns with a 3rd instalment of their acclaimed ‘Altered States’ compilation. Once again, raising funds for their own Sinchi Foundation and the work they do in supporting indigenous communities worldwide.

Again this is a truly international affair featuring artists across 4 continents. Representing South America, Altair & Sagan (Argentina), in North America, Mr. Tea (US) and Loui Martz (Mexico). In Europe, Lithuania’s Dannie Fade and British artist The Soviet Union, then crossing in to Western Asia, Syrian duo Boschoco… who’s hit Semsem (released on Sinchi this year), is remixed from the label themselves.

The label has become a symbol of originality and defined by a willingness to experiment with different genres and unknown artists. In the labels own words, 'we hear so much music that is churned out by ‘big name’ artists, which although usually beautiful produced, doesn’t do anything for us. Of course, high quality production is important but the ethos of the label is geared towards music which dares to be different, not judging demo’s from an artist’s reputation and most importantly is it unique enough to stand the test of time’.

Loui Martz is Mexican artist, music producer and sound designer, was born in Torreón Coahuila Mexico in 1995. Loui started to play piano at 8 years old, he always liked to experiment with the piano, always playing musical sheets as his way, changing patterns, adding or removing elements to his liking. At 12 years old Loui started composing his own music on piano and presenting it on local cultural events in Lerdo Durango city, simple melodies and harmonies that little by little they evolved to fresh and danceable sound.
