Compilations Trax 2019/2020

Forever is in multiplicity and mutation. Musician and visual artist Nicola Tirabasso (VISIO), together with Haunter founders Daniele Guerrini and Francesco Birsa Alessandri called for a collective effort in order to celebrate these elements of experience. In opposition to linear notions of time itself. An attempt to let perceptions of future and past bleed together, to establish every moment as an infinite process of consumption and re-generation. A compilation of 33 artists, each contributing in their own peculiar style, adding their own blends to the palette and exposing the lineage of their work. It is precisely to state that the perennial immanence of difference is what constitutes the basis for true unity, that the curators have grouped an utterly diverse cast of contributors, whose output strikes a vastity of moods and textures, and grows out of very distinct intentionalities and backgrounds. Making kin without borders, letting mutual support evolve into a chimeric infinity.

Anchored in the spirit of not only collaboration but also repurposing – through a multi-artist cassette album tracing the lineage of jungle and rave, to physical products and clothing made with both used and upcycled materials – ‘Partisan’ represents the labels most ambitious project to date.

Enlisting a crew of close-knit artists and label affiliates including Impey, Sully, PAN’s Flora Yin-Wong, Leicester’s Grade 10 label, Abime label boss YTEM, Acre, Filter Dread and lots more, the ‘Partisan’ cassette tape pack – to be released on November 15th - has been designed from military surplus and will also function as a sewing kit, to encourage buyers to repair and repurpose.

Sense Fracture aka Francesco Birsa Alessandri is a Milan-based DJ, producer, music critic, and activist, co-founder and creator of Haunter Records together with Daniele Guerrini aka Heith. He selects raw and violent material for provocative acts of sound wars, crossing it with the most adventurous deconstructions of dance music, hardcore, and speedcore. His music urges the listener to riot and negate the meaning of Power while also calling for empathy and comprehension.
