Far removed from family located in the Middle East, Senseless Optimism or “SO” found herself in America alone suffering through what felt like a never ending heartbreak. There was promise of a young couple married and the family of the future groom would not accept “SO” for unspoken reasons. Ghosted and alone, “Why?” is the product of that experience. Listen to her heart ache painfully in each word sung on this soulful throwback.

With the political and social turmoil in our current time, I worked to find a silver lining. I wrote Yesterdayz as an ode to better days to come.  The song was released through Boston Music Award's 617 sessions, and was produced by Dan Nicklin with Nate Leavitt.

As the single of the EP, ‘It Gets Better,’ Leave You Behind represents letting go and working through trauma. Leaving it behind like the wind flows, and remembering that the hard times really do get better.

Moving from a suburb to a big city, there’s a lot that surprises you…For me, it was the catcalling. With it being a consistent part of walking to and from my destination, I wrote this song in protest.
