Next up in our longstanding mix series we are delighted to showcase a man who could be described as a pioneer of house music. Brawther has been steadily casting a spell upon the genre for many years now, his music having been championed by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Ron Trent, Chez Damier and Jeremy Underground. He has released music on a far reaching number of record labels including the likes of Cabinet Records, Secretsundaze, My Love Is Underground, Balance and Jazzy Couscous. He has built a firm following amidst house and techno communities and has toured with relentless pace in recent years with a reputable string of appearances worldwide. 

This set was recorded at a special location in Berlin and was captured live from the booth at Club der Visionaere. For those of you who have been previously then you will note the nature of the sound, setting and place in the utmost detail. For those who have not, close your eyes and imagine.

Brawther: The Ransom Note Mix

The sunshine after the rain? We're done with overcast skies and seeing our breath in the morning here at Sense Traxx, so we're rejecting all of that and are bringing the heat with a remix package of sunsoaked piano houser Believe! 

Welcome back folks, spring is springing and we're back with some feel good jams! Now, Mike Agent X Clarke blessed us with Believe at the back end of 2018 and we absolutely loved it and by all accounts so did you! So much so, we've asked a few of our favourite guys to give it a rework.

Firstly, we've invited uber cool Dutch author turned producer Nachtbraker in to the fold. Nachtbraker is Dutch for 'Night Hawk' and as such, his take is a lot more suited for those late nights. Now this is truly one for the heads. a roller coaster ride of pulsating bass, thunderous kicks, offbeat percussion and even an acid line! Sound incredible? Well it is. Sit back, relax and take this one in. Subtle, brooding and groovy, late night, big system and a clued up crowd is what this record was built for! 

Secondly, we've invited Planktom into the Sense Traxx stable! Polish born producer has delivered a slammin' slab of housey goodness to keep this package rolling! With nods towards the house OG's like Morales, this driving piano houser is everything you'd need to keep the pace of a floor into the early hours! Sharp use of the vocal and an addictive riff, this is a roller that makes you smile! If you're aim as a DJ is to ignore the chin strokers and light things up, then whip this out! 

Lastly, to round of this superb package, you'll remember that release had a Scott Diaz cut on there, he's now given us a 'floor focused Dub! All the action, less of the flannel! Keys and drums all the way with this! Kept the stabs and sharpened up the percussion somewhat, with the bassline coming to the fire of this mix.  Bumpy garagey heaven from the UK don! 

Right then folks, there you have it! We're super proud of this and hope you love it like we do!

Hyperdub and Wolf Music artist Ossie offers up his new release 'Better Days / Change' via the UK's Sense Traxx this August, two soul-infused cuts from the London-based artist.

Ossie Aneke, better know as simply Ossie is a London based producer and DJ, initially making his mark via his debut on the revered Hyperdub imprint, followed by a second EP on the label a year later before going on to release material with the likes of Wolf Music, 2020 Midnight Visions, Exploited and Madhouse. Here though we see him joining the roster of Sense Traxx, a club brand come record label hailing from the UK which has released material from the likes of Nachtbraker, Todd Terry and Kevin Over amongst others.

Leading the package is 'Better Days', a cinematic six minute cut fuelled by emotive pads and organ melodies, robust off-kilter organic drums, stuttering vocal cuts and pulsing sub bass tones before 'Change' flips the switch and focuses on disco-tinged, filtered string samples, heavily swung dusty drums and steel drum like synth melodies to create yet another unique, sun-drenched and soulful cut from Ossie.
