Our 19th release comes from @Siadic out of BC. Siadic is two brothers, Adam & Simon Whitaker Wilson, who are currently based on the Sunshine Coast and Kamloops respectively. Hub, their January 2015 release with us, is to this date our most popular one. We are so happy to have them follow it up with a beautiful 2-track masterpiece. The EP contains samples captured in Bristol and Berlin in the summer of 2018. The lush movements within the instrumentation will leave you lost in a timeless hypnosis.

Tras casi una década inmerso en un proyecto centrado en la pista de baile, Álvaro Aragonés se trasladó a Berlín donde inició una nueva carrera, relajado en bpms, donde prima el eclecticismo y la vanguardia. Es en octubre de 2016 cuando autoedita su disco debut “A Place To Be”, influenciado por las diferentes culturas de las ciudades que dan título a las ocho canciones que lo componen. Desde Kenia hasta Tokio, pasando por el propio Berlín con una gran acogida haciendo “Sold Out” de sus copias físicas en 2×12 “a las pocas semanas.

Una vez que el proyecto tomó forma, es el sello navarro Sofa Tunes quien confía en Daar el nombre que da vida a esta nueva cara, lanzando su primer EP en formato de casete. “Quetzal” es un viaje por las selvas de Yucatán y la civilización maya con un aire IDM y pinceladas dub sobresalientes. 2018 supone el debut internacional de Daar con un EP-Split compuesto por dos piezas totalmente analógicas en el sello indonesio “Tandem Tapes” así como algunos remixes que también verían la luz, destacando el realizado al artista londinense Russian Linesman, conocido por su programa en la BBC británica.
Finalmente, 2019 fue el año de la confirmación del proyecto gracias a una residencia artística en Konvent (Barcelona), trabajando y creando su primer A / V live: BORDERS, proyecto que nace del EP homónimo editado en 12 “por F&S Records. Casi una hora de inmersión audiovisual por los principales conflictos fronterizos que nos azotan en nuestro día a día. El lanzamiento del sello 004 vendió más del 50% de sus copias en pre-pedido y el espectáculo se presentó en ciudades como Barcelona, ​​Madrid o Berlín. apuntado como el año del regreso del artista a influencias más bailables pero debido a los meses vividos, el resultado fue un álbum de estudio que fue lanzado el pasado marzo de 2021 por el reputado y prestigioso sello Silent Season. “Entire” es una conjunción de texturas ambientales y grabaciones de campo basadas en experiencias recientes de la productora española.

Ahora en 2021 Daar está enfocado en algunos proyectos audiovisuales además de explotar su faceta artística en tantos lugares como sea posible. Se acerca 2022, ¡con muchas ideas por delante!
