First in a series of mini-compilations bound to shed a broader light on rising and under-represented talents, "SVT328" puts on a savorous menu of techno-friendly grooves and big-room busters from a diverse cast of up-and-coming producers. 

Punching the clock in first position, Hamburg's SUZé gives us a spitting glimpse of her vivid, exotica-infused universe. Sitting halfway laser-guided minimal tech wares and retro-laced EBM artillery, "Between The Lines" is a straight out compelling slice of conscious body music, equally enjoyable on and off the dance floor. Stephanie Raschke picks up the torch and runs the hoodoo down on a further heavy, sludgey note with "Talk To Me" - an electro-rock hybrid that beams a wild mix of neonized synth talk, raucous bass riffs and thrashed disco vibes as one. 

Kaufmann takes over with the hi-NRG "Twee", a seriously infectious slab that'll get all tickers in the room swinging at equivalent rate. Nurtured on sci-fi-infused sound design and a stadium-sized sense of raving extravaganza, this one's got peak time-belter written all over it.  A stealthier affair, Spada's "Tantrum" sneaks its way in the shadow. Merging an inch-perfect programming with luscious middle-eastern harmonics and seesawing synths on a mission, its catchy hook keeps etching deeper into the listener's mind as bars roll by. Kasbah-rocker all the way.

Senso Sounds has been redefining techno since 2014, becoming a home for forward thinking and sharp edged beats that have rocked dance floors from Berlin to Sao Paulo. Founded by one
of the scene’s most consistent producers and DJs - Oliver Huntemann - Senso has almost a hundred releases under the belt, from many of the defining artists of the last decade. Every so often the label drops a collection showcasing some of the artists that need to be on your radar, and Senso Sounds Level 11 doesn’t fail to deliver.
Metodi Hristov drops Warp Drive - a fittingly titled track that starts as it means to go on - hurtling through space at breakneck speed. The drums and percs fire the whole thing along while the bass and pads bring a sense of movement and excitement that never lets up. Strap in for this one.

Kaufmann’s Unravel Me sits nicely in this compilation - a tightly wound track that builds its energy over the full almost 9 minutes. The almost motorik drums maintain the groove while alien
sounds and metallic stabs add drama and energy. The vocal is a perfect encouragement to let go and feel the moment in all its glory.
Luis M’s Invisible Light is a hard-packed bomb - the groove is tight, built around a thick kick and precision hats and percussion. As the track progresses arpeggiated synths and dense slabs of sound wash across the track - the atmosphere is electric.

Kaufmann brings her trademark fusion of dark minimal and bouncy techno to Senso Sounds once again with the Ibu 3000 EP. The track is a full throttle techno monster with hard-as-nails drums and equally matched bassline, synth stabs and effects. The track is also presented here via an additional remix by label mate Metodi Hristov which adds another level of tension to the original, bringing out some of the more progressive elements of the track. Kaufmann also shares another original cut, Snorkel Combat, which is a tightly wound bomb that slowly builds the tension across its 7 minutes for maximum dancefloor effect.

Next up on Senso is Berlin-based Kaufmann (DE) presenting a take on her trademark fusion of dark minimal land bouncy techno.
Poolboi is the perfect introduction to her style for the uninitiated - up front techno that sets the controls for the heart of fun - the track has an infectious vibe that will
energize any crowd. The track is backed up with Sam’s Pharmacy - a tripping, motorik style cut with tons of atmosphere and driving, punchy energy. Playful samples punctuating proceedings bring the whole thing to an ecstatic climax.

Defected is proud to unveil a highly anticipated project from the mind of singular artist SeeMeNot, titled ‘LEADER: Giving Them Their Flowers’. The collection represents the hymns and praises of women, sharing lyrics written by SeeMeNot over productions from some of SeeMeNot’s favourite electronic artists in recent years. A melting pot of deep house, melodic house and techno overlaid by a sheet of jazz, soul and hip-hop sonics, this mixtape is an homage to women of the BIPOC community and their everlasting strength, wisdom, methodology and a celebration of their liberation. As the sophomore project to SeeMeNot’s first mixtape ‘LONG OVERDUE: The Sound Of A Revolution’ - where a chronological diary of the evolution of slavery to abolition was the thread - LEADER features a more diverse application of harmonies and fixational genres woven into a story for the ages, in celebration of women and their contribution to the very rare parts of humanity we have left. Among its explorative tracklist, ‘LEADER: Giving Them Their Flowers’ platforms the deep recitations of artist/poet Aminata over music from  Eli Escobar on ‘Gene/Sis (Intro)’, followed by a call to arms from writer/designer Fanny Vannier with production from Aaaron on ‘Mother Reign’. Defected stalwart Sam Divine also steps up to remix the focus track, ‘Have My Back’, adding her signature club-focused sound to the evocative production from Ivory (IT). These ladies are friends and sisters in arms; the conviction of women coming together and taking on roles as LEADERS, is essential to winning the war.
